Ta. I have to admit to having tweaked them a little (Dynamic Light app), but then the place is so beautiful it's almost impossible not to take good photos.
Have a wee look at The isle of Arran mate. Loads of cracking walks on it. They don't call it Scotland in miniature for nothing Get the ferry from ardrossan which is only around 45 mins drive from Glasgow and the crossing only takes 50 odd mins. Loads of accommodation on it ranging from budget to luxury. I'm sure I have a walks on Arran book kicking around. If not I can get you info as my cousin now lives there. Cracking place
you cant go far wrong getting a train up the west coast to mallaig and walking that area, or going up the otherside via inverness to the kyle and either crossing to sky or doing the knoydart area, amazing areas
the wife and i are doing ullapool to achnashellach station via kinlochewe later this year, its a small part of the cape wrath trail, a monster route that would take about 14 days, our route should just be a 3 or 4 day hike
I'll echo what's been said about Skye. It's a spectacular place, and it's got a bit of everything really. There are mountains of varying difficulty ( we even got my Mum up a munro), also some beautiful coastline. Whatever sort of walking you were planning, whether it's easy, hard, flat, hilly, long , short etc. you won't run out of ideas. And if you're like me you can even do a bit of caving whilst you're there. I'm hoping to get across to the Western Isles this year though, meant to be incredible.
A few of the Lochs are really nice too. I go round Loch Muick atleast once a fortnight. Loads of these fuckers too, really friendly, some walk right up to you; Easily my No.1 place to ramble.
