I'm with Wadey. Absolutely the most touching thing I've ever read on a forum. I wasn't prepared at all for how it went. Heart really does go out to you, S. Makes me feel a little ashamed of the things I've made into 'problems' at times when in the scheme of things, they are nothing.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Shaun, first of all, my condolences for your loss. It's one of the most touching things that I've read in my life, it really is. It goes to show how much music can mean to someone though. The track is a beauty as well.
As an artist myself, there are few things that make music production as rewarding as hearing stories from people about what a song you made meant to them. If you send a message to one of his buddies or even his management, it'll reach him for sure.
Here are a few of my favourites, even though their meaning to me are rather insignificant compared to your story.
Burial - Etched Headplate (The intro does a good job of describing me as a person, and the overall track feel touches my soul)
The used - Poetic Tragedy (The song is about a guy lost in depression, drug addiction and finally killing himself, I can relate to this more than I'd like to admit).
People in Planes - Pretty Buildings (A song that I associate with a personal loss, a few years back)
Pink Floyd - Shine on you crazy diamond (Perhaps the best song ever made, musically speaking. I associate it with my love for my family, but that's a long story).
This is by no means the best tune I've ever heard but back in my clubbing days I liked to kick back after a heavy weekend with my Boards of Canada albums, and this track struck a chord with me one day and has never left my conscious since. Perfection.
