Ive just booked a holiday ive taken my kids out of school for 2 weeks
So i could go at the end of may. As going in the school holiday's is £2200 more!!!! How they get away with it
It takes the piss!!!!!!!

Ive booked to go on the 24th Aug for 10 days , as the last day is the first monday back at school it is alot cheaper , for the last 3 years the first day back at school has been a training day , so i took the gamble and guess what , the first mondays a training day .

Our lads holiday last year could of taken place any time between the 20th of june and the 10th of september.....10 days shy or 3 month window, with about 40 of the 80 or so days being out of school holiday time, we all left it to a few lads to go and book it, as 12 of us couldn't really just go into a travel agents.....anyway they come back and they've booked it for the 10th of august, we pay 100 quid more to go to the same place as people we know who were going 2 weeks before and booked 2 weeks after us.......The holiday pricing system is a joke !!

I'm looking into booking ibiza the now and the bird from the travel agents phoned me with a quote of £700 each. I told her I can get it for about £500 online, she said she'll ring me back. Just shows that the first price is never their best.

I want to book ibiza soon too, but my mates are absolutely useless and must be relying on me as per usual. Any decent websites to book? We're looking at San Antonio, I've never been to Ibiza before.

I'm not married have no kids so when i go on holiday I have to pay 20%-50% more or so for Hotels single person supplement that also takes the piss.

Agree the kids holiday charges are a ripoff.

If you've got the money, I wouldn't bother with San Antonio. We stayed in San Antonio Bay when we went, pretty low quality British resort IMO. I suppose you get what you pay for. Not my bag, anyway. The other side of the island is nice.

The travel companies are cunts for hiking the prices up during the school holidays. What is not going to help is if the government enforce fining parents for taking their children on holidays during the term time. The travel companies are in a win win situation but me to be honest will weigh up the options and if it's still cheapewr to take my daughter out of term time and pay the fine rather than give the travel companies the extra money that's what I shall do. Travel companies = CUNTS

i've got a young family and baught all the camping gear big tent, stove, elec appliances etc etc about 3 years ago now its mror than paid for itself with the money we have saved.

also manage a few long weekends away in the UK on top of our main 2 weeks in the summer.

wanted £109 to make sure we had seats together,so i asked them would they make a 10 and 4 year old sit on their own with out a parent for 10 hours.......... she said N0

San antonio bay feels a bit detached from san antonio though since you need to get a taxi. I agree though, if you have enough money stay the other side.

I'm staying in ibiza rocks again this year. I don't want to but everyone I know that has booked so far is staying there so I don't want to split up from them when they go back to their hotel (you need bands to get in).
