On a serious note though, they're taking a bit of a risk with Stone Roses and the likes imo.

Looks wank IMO. Reckon the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Noel gallagher may even attract a worse breed of dickheads than most years.

People go on about the crowd, but the years i've been ive hardly interacted with any of the other people that go in all fairness, if you go in a big enough group you dont have to talk to any of the funboy pricks walking around in vests covered in facepaint......Its the company that makes the weekend IMO.......last year i went 20 hours after getting back from ayia napa, i was fucking drained, infact the two slots where noel and snow patrol are this year i didn't even bother with, just went back to the tent for an hour of moaning about being tired

Rifles, Miles Kane and NGHFB all good by me but already seeing Stone Roses and inspiral carpets this summer so I wont be coming out of my self imposed festival retirement just yet.

Already a mini bus load of my pals going that got tickets in some pre sale last year, so will try get one friday, would rather do T in the park like but nobodies up for it.
Must confess it does look a bit commercial folk in straw hats and what have you, but i can think of worse ways to spend a weekend.

I'm having a year off and waiting for Glastonbury 2013. Bored of V now I've been going for years and its just too poppy. I'm already seeing Noel Gallagher and the Stone Roses so I'm ok .

V always has and always will be wank. If they cloned Hendrix and put him on the bill I'd still be of the same opinion.

Any idea how much a 1 day ticket normally is,last time i went was years ago.

Must be a sign of middle age creeping in but take the Roses and NG away from that line-up and I don't even recognise the vast majority of names/bands.

Those I do know most of them I wouldn't go see if the festival was in my back garden. I would open the back window and ask them to shut the fuck up.

It's your usual "safe" festival line-up, there will be any number of festivals all over Europe this summer with an almost identical bill.
