They'll tell you that's the reason it started but more than likely you'll find it's the people with an agenda. Seems to me like they've onto something to divide and scare the majority (both sides). It worked for Hitler right?
Like I said, I'm more pissed off with the millions it's costing us.
been some utter fucking filth posted on the social networking sites this evening following some guff on channel 4. the ability to write absolute nonsense and pass it off as factual news via newspaper has a lot to answer for.
reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.
I honestly don't know what the edl's complaint is. I live in one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the UK (15th most in 2010, fact fans) and it isn't a problem. It adds to the flavour of the area. I've also lived as an illegal immigrant in America but I'm white so that doesn't/didn't seem to count.
Religion + Politics + Race = steer clear ... for me , I don't really have a profound view on either , but am sure it can cause endless arguements and fall outs ..
I know a couple of lads in the EDL , I'm still struggling to see what it is there whole cause and agenda is , Im not saying we have to lie down and agree what goes on in our country concerning , say , Immigration , but sometimes it's better to try and learn to live with it , and get on with it ...
Immigration should be a priority. Letting anyone into the UK is ridiculous. Have a system like they have in Canada or Australia (amongst others). A points system, have a genuine sponsor for a job, or have a £250K+ as a bond when you go there without a job. The borders should be Army controlled I'm not kidding... If we have this system it doesn't work and needs to be vastly improved upon. This country can only benefit from an overhaul of the immigration controls and measures. And a kicking out of the undesirables, the murderers, the peados, the sex slave traders, the genocide makers, the fraudsters, all kinds of scum the world can do with out. But because of our twisted malformed Human Rights Bill we cant just kick them out (deport them). The honest hard working Tax Payer has too pay for them to stay either in detention or in jail or at there residence under house arrest. WTF? kind of twisted country is this.

I understand the logic but I think this is too simple a solution for a proper so complex. In my own case under these rules my soon to be wife would have NO chance of coming to Britain as my income is under the national average. This despite her having British heritage, a masters degree and a full time (pretty well paid) job back in the States. On the other hand if some dodgy Russian wanted to buy up half the West End that'd be no problem. Maybe I'm an old bleeding heart but a system which would keep genuine couples apart in such a manner is pretty undesirable. At the same time I think that these laws would also put off some pretty highly skilled people (engineering/chemistry/science in general students in particular) from coming here at post graduate level. Finally given Britain has a net outflow (per annum) of people it'd make it more difficult to support a population base. I guess this is a point of contention i.e. are we full/over subscribed but during the next boom there will be a massive hunger for new employees.
