Around the peninsula in north wales. Pwllheli, Caernarfon and Barmouth are quite nice. A bit closer are Llandudno and Rhyl (haha) Went to somerset when I was young and loved it! Whistling sands I think it was called.
Old part off ingoldmells every year until the grandmainlaw expires because I have to take her and it is only place she goes have a few city breaks during the year.
Lake District, used to go to Outwardbound School every year as a kid when my parents went on their hols & i didn't want to go with them. Ambleside, Lake Windemere, hillwalking, sailing, canoeing & other outdoor pursuits all character building stuff.
Have enjoyed a few weekends in the English Riviera, Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, but that has mainly been on the piss.

London for me. Obviously the football link but great buzz about it, always has everything, plenty to do - boat trip up the thames, dander down the Kings Road, a few beers and a nose in Camden, shopping around Beak st/Carnaby street, Chinatown for a set meal for 2, up to see friends in Essex, etc...etc....
Love london.
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
I love Cornwall but it's a bitch to get to and hellishly expensive these days. The Peak District is also nice - anywhere around the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border really. Scotland is good but lacks real ale pubs on the whole so any nice walk or similar excursion is slightly marred by that.
