Looking at a pair of Ray Bans on Ebay, the seller has over 20,000 feedback and sells various brands of sunglasses. Now I know nothing about spotting fake sunglasses so could someone give me peace of mind please.
I think it's just Ebay putting me off tbh. They claim to be official Ray Ban retailers, just wanted to gauge other folks opinions and see if anyone has used them before. Cheers for the replies lads.
got mine from duty free...dont really pay much attention to the price of sunglasses tbh, but my ray bans were about £110 from the airport last summer...gives you peace of mind!
Almost pulled the trigger on a pair from cocosa last month..with discounts etc I think I was only looking at about £60.00 but forgot the fuckers and missed out..
Will be passing through Heathrow, Bangkok and Singapore airports in a few months so may hold off and take a chance on them being cheaper in the airports. Can't imagine there would be much of a discount though?
Basically if in the lens their is a code lasered in they are legit. As all sunglasses have an item code in very very small font in the lens. Think it is usually the left lens. Fake sunglasses don't actually have these as carrying out this process is more expensive than making fake sunglasses.
I got mine when the $ was 2:1. Worked out at £55. Not that that helps, but my advice would be dodge ebay and either get someone in the states to send you some or wait til you go through duty free.

Never see any real bargains duty free (i.e. outwith EU). You'd be better paying full price abroad and then claiming the tax back. I remember a complaint to a holiday rep I read in a paper: "The Ray Bans I bought for 5 Euros from a vendor on the beach turned out to be fake!"
Cheers for the advice lads. Sent off a few e-mails to stockists here but they don't have the model I'm after, I've only seen them being sold by the Ebay link and the US Ray Ban site. May just grab them from Ebay, if they're fake I'll dispute and get my cash back.
