just saw Shutter Island yesterday.. Brilliant, brilliant movie. Scorcese is a master at what he does

Saw this for the first time last week, excellent pic but confused at the end. Was he a fruit cake or did they convince him he was?[/quote]
He was a fruit cake but at the end of the film he was sane. He made it out to them he was still mental though so he could be killed and not go through the whole thing again.
I had it pretty much sussed out about halfway through and most other people I spoke to say they figured it out as well. Good film but.
Yeah, I agree with you Ryan.. When thinking about it there are small signs throughout the movie that he's insane as well. Great actors. When I think about it, Di Caprio has been in tons of quality films, a great actor. Has anyone seen the aviator? Is it worth watching?
Oh, also remembered this one. Documentary about the danish soldiers in the Helmand region in Afghanistan (same area as a lot of the british soldiers). Was released in the spring and caused a huge debate in Denmark. It's a brilliant movie, won a few awards as well. It's very haunting, just shows how meaningless the war is.

The gems in the eye shine in the most irrelevant places but then again in the relevant impartially.
