Yeah, after i made this thread i searched the forum and there was already a thread, people talked about it being overcrowded etc, but surely you cant sell more coach tickets than there are seats ? So i cant see it being all that bad ?
Nah never been with them mate, saw it on that hot uk deals site and seemed like quite a few people booked with no extra charges. Might not be the best way to travel but cant really complain at that price.

It's worse that you could imagine. 14/15 hours siting in an uncomfortable seat, bored to tears and surrounded by dick heads. Unless you have a tiny budget, pay whatever it costs to fly and spend the time you will save in the city.

Some of my mates are mega brassic, couldn't afford a festival so 20 quid travelling to a foreign city is the best they can muster !!
If you're surrounded by 5/6 of your mates surely that will make it a tad better ?
Might give it a try just for the experience, if it gives me nightmares.....suppose ill just have to deal with them........oh and never use megabus again
Quote by Horse & HoundOnce went to berlin by bus, was without a doubt the worst 19 hours of my life.
Fucking hell apart from the price there hasn't been a good word said.....im just thinking, its 15 hours.....im guessing at least 5 of that will be on a ferry ?
I've done the megabus from Dundee>London and back 3 days later after I lost my passport and it's utterly hellish in all honesty. I was sat next to a boy who absolute reeked from the word go - add in the general sweating, flatulence and some bird up the front vomiting and it was one of my most unpleasant experiences to date.
If it's the only way to go I'd advise sleep deprivation, a good few tramadol and well you only live once I suppose
I think Im clever but not clever enough to play with the proper lads, not got the brain span to run with decent folk but i keep trying and trying. shame my prospects are shit and I feel low about myself. I will find my own way one day.

Which ferry crossing do they use?
London to Calais or Ramsgate to Ostend?
I once went to Amsterdam by bus with National Express but have never used Mega Bus.
From the sounds of this, if we go ahead and book it.....its gonna be one of those experiences............went to the south of france with school the one year that was way longer than 15 hours maybe more like 24 !!.......
I used to get the national express from London to Derby when I was poor and had no mates to drive me back. Those journeys have put me off ever using the bus again, torture.
i got one from bristol to london. it was alright until it got into london then it took about an hour to limp to victoria. i think they're playing fast and loose with the word 'mega' as well
If you travel between Birmingham & London it's worth looking on the Megabus site and select 'mega train' they sell Virgin train tickets New Street - Euston which start from £1 each way.
They usually only sell the cheap train tickets for travel Mon - Thur
I wouldn't travel by Megabus if someone paid me £20.
I did it once, took over double the time it would have on the train, had to sit next to a proper fucking stinking obese woman who insisted on singing along to Rhianna on her ipod the entire journey. Someone also spewed near the start, add that to the body odor being produced by the fat fucking cretin next to me... No fucking way.
My brother used it to get to knebworth for some gig. On way back the driver didnt bother counting the heads and left him and his pal at a service station at 2 o clock in the morning. What do you expect for a few quid though?
I've done London to edinburgh and back a few times now. Have had everything from the toilet overflowing and piss running down the bus to it being totally empty and pretty enjoyable. For the money you can't complain really - decent if there are a couple of you but definitely not as good as a train
