They've just spent a huge amount of money on the project, they're not going to want such a small detail preventing them from getting a good return on their investment.
"They are money-worshippers. They have sold their religion for money. There is no point in saying that they removed the cross out of respect for Muslims. Why then do they prevent their Muslim players from fasting in Ramadan?
In the words of Jessie J, It's all about the money.
It's the fact that a tiny cross on a football club's logo must be removed because of the hyper-sensitivity of religious fundamentalists. Let's say that a middle eastern team were selling their merchandise in Europe and were advised that they must change it to conform to western culture. Would that ever happen?
As for the Red Cross, they were attacked and slaughtered by Ottoman Turks when they brought aid during their war with Russia. The Turks wrongly saw the cross as a Christian symbol. The RC later introduced the Islamic Red Crescent to try to prevent attacks on their staff in later conflicts.
Ultimately, RM's decision is about cash rather than sensitivity.
What do you think might be worrying about it....do you have an opinion ???
Religion and politics have no place in football
Why get involved then....especially when you have nowt to add ????????.......but i do agree with your statement above
Because I genuinely don't understand what's worrying about it. Should I not question something in future? They're going to do whatever they can to make money, the removal of a tiny cross isn't exactly the end of the world.
you dont need to understand why another person might find it worrying...if it aint worrying for you thats fine...move on....and personally i think you know exactly why it could be seen as worrying....youve got an opinion on everything else...now all of a sudden your clueless and without opinion....aye right.
I don't understand why it's worrying that a Spanish club removing a religious symbol from promotional material on a $1bn resort they're building in the middle east. Yes I have opinions but why is that worrying to someone? I'm sure most companies would change the way they promote/sell in the middle east. It makes sense if you want to make money?
Hold on a minute.... Folk honestly think that muslims give a fuck about Real Madrid? Madrid have made the choice to try to be more 'appealing' to the muslim world, it is not as if people from the muslim communities of the world have complained about a wee cross on a football clubs badge, fuckin hell....
Mountain out of a molehill.... The EDL might go to Madrid for their next protest then eh?
