Can I ask you as a Chelsea supporter for your honest opinion on Drogba's behaviour?
I know he scored the goal and parts of his game were good last night, also not taking away from the undeniable fact that at his peak he was as good a striker as there was in the Premiership.

I couldn't decide which one of your pathetic posts to reply to, but we'll start with a factual one. I think you'll find that apart from a shit CL qualifying game we actually sell out every home game.
On a general note there are a few pricks on this board, but you sir, stand out as a grade a cunt.
Drogba was read the riot act by a few , Terry namely one , a few seasons ago when his antics were just embarrassing .. Of late he has took it out of his game , but some reason it reared its ugly head last night , few views are it was deliberate to disrupt the flow Barca like .. We had a MASSIVE slice of luck last night , but luck wont carry us to Munich , so next week he wont get away with it , the ref for next weeks game will no doubt be fully briefed , and Barca will point this out leading up to the game ..
As a striker he is immense , look at goal against Spurs in the semi ... which we won 5-1 any spurs reading ... a goal all about what he's good at , power - holding the ball , then turning and blasting a brilliant goal ...
All the rolling around , and clutching a fake injury is pathetic ..

If we could have beaten Barca, by playing like Barca do then you might have found that Drogba would have stayed on his feet. He was basically breaking up the play, stopping their free flow midfield play. Its not like Suarez or Ashley Youing don't do it, is it? Its not rocket science. We're not a great team, so you play to your strengths, win at any means. Get behind the ball, break up play and try and score on the break.
As Steve said, Chelsea 1 Barcelona 0, thats all you need to know.

You can't beat Barca by playing like Barca and you would be foolish to attempt to. We beat them last year at the Emirates (2-1) and some idiots thought we had cracked it given that some see our style of play as being similar to theirs, fact is that we were blessed that night and the game could have been dead by half time.
I think you're being harsh on Chelsea to say you're not a great team. You're not Barca but you are undeniably better than you have shown on occasion this season.
I agree with you about "Get behind the ball, break up play and try and score on the break" but there is ways and means of doing that within the game. Had Barca gone 1 up and Busquets spent the rest of the game falling over every time he came into contact with a blue shirt you can be 100% sure that Chelsea would have been up in arms about it.
think Di Matteo has done a fantastic job since he took over , not much has changed , our style isn't dramatically different , but with what he has he is getting the best out of those there .. we look tighter at the back , but an overhaul is needed , as an ageing team a lot need to go , and Drogba I believe will be one heading out ...

Surely an argument for giving him the job if he wins you the FA Cup which I think he will.
Thank you Chelsea for the 70 quid win yesterday :D Doubt they will win in Barcelona but I hope they do. Not that i support Chelsea but my dislike to Barca is just that great
They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.

the last 2 games where barca came to the bridge they won by cheating a hell of a lot.
what goes aroudb comes around.
i'm not condoning it I hate watching it but barca cheat as much as anybody so just got a taste of there own medecine.
Plus disrupting them is probably one of the best ways to beat them as out footballing them isn't going to happen.
so a good result for chelsea but a shit game for a neutral to watch.

Here's a thought M. Perhaps if people actually watched the match instead of posting on here throughout it, they might have twigged Drogbas actions were premeditated. What ole Drogs didn't realise is that in addition to annoying Barca, he seems to have annoyed scousers too - talk about a bonus
Quick question to finish - Does that paragon of virtue Steven Gerard have previous for diving?.............

YAWN.
Agreed with you there Wrighty, puts me off getting involved on this site when it comes to debates on football. Try to keep it separate from clothes etc. It seems that recent reports in the press and some on pitch activities have seen a resurgence in Chelsea hatred. I was surprised at the amount of abuse we received on 5 live after the game last night. Cheating, negative football, lucky etc. I'm glad though having looked again this morning there is more sensible comments being made on here.
On the performance front I thought it was great. Against the so called best team in the world you have to play to your strengths and having got the goal, which was well worked we sat back and defended, hoping for another chance on the break. Which I thought we did brilliantly. We did ride our luck at times but they didn't take their chances and we did. Which at the level is what separates the good from bad isn't it?
As for Drogba. Off course we get embarrassed by his activities. This has been going on for years, though it had seemed to come out of his game a bit. Its something he has made up for in spades though with his performances when he stays on his feet. Incidentally I get to see a fair bit of Spanish football and Barcelona are pretty good at it themselves.
Brilliant result, more so as I booked my flight prior to last night. Glad to see I'm going to see a bit of a game. Especially as the official ticket price is a laughable £73.50.
why are the chelsea supporters on here such angry heads? getting all wound up and calling people names - grr! £73.50 is a but rich - ace place though barcelona. was there about 2005 and there were some chelsea supporters in a bar - they beat lipewl in the pepsi cup that day - we were in who'd gone over for the match a couple of years earlier and liked the place so much they stayed.

I don;t mind chelsea too much to be honest. Their nouveau fans are a bit much but the older heads tend to be able to view football a bit more rationally. Having said that they've some right nuggets playing for them which doesn't endear them to the neutral. As for Drogba - take a bow, it may not be pretty and it may be on the edge of cheating but its really effective against a team ike barca. anyone who says they would like to lose honourably rather than win like chelsea is a mug IMO

I only called the lad a cunt, i wasn't angry. I didn't call you a nasty name even though you deserved it because I'm sure we have agreed on something in the past, so you can't be that bad..
stop trying to groom me ramseescfc! as has been said, 1-0 is all you need to know. have to say i find barcelona massively dull to watch. sporting v bilbao tongiht in the estate version of european football.
