Sent a jacket to a member who says it hasn't arrived....sent it 1st class recorded on the 5th of April and it says it's in the system for delivery........looks like I'm gonna need to claim for this jacket...I sold it for £45 so 1st class recorded compo should cover it.......so who has been thru this rigmarole before...is it a long drawn out process......can you tell me what I need to do....cheers.
Head down to the post office and try and speak to someone in store when filling out the relevant forms. You'll need to recipients postal address and any receipts you can get your hands on. The process itself isn't difficult just a pain in the arse and the forms they give you don't make it any easier. Good luck
Cheers lads.......yeah I've got the receipt and all the needed info....I'll need to head down there this week I guess.....Nuno this is the first parcel I've ever had go missing mate and I've sent a few over the years.
Maybe a bit late now but first thing to do is tell the recipient to go to their Post Office parcel office,it could be there..Wouldn't be the first time that the postie has tried to post it and forgot to put the card through the door!
Did you put your sender address on the parcel??always put that on in future....Royal Mail compo is £46 and you can do it online..Don't be too dispontant these things happen,believe it or not we have one of the best postal services in the world..
I picked up the form from the PO today....I just hope I don't lose out through no fault of my own....I've got the og postal receipt so i guess I'll just need to refund the buyer and claim it back.
nor me mate , it's a real tough call , sure everyone on here who has sent stuff or bought stuff will have their opinion ... but if I send something - record it - then that is as much as I can do ...
I once sent Scott ( Haxby ) some cash by special delivery , in between the post office i use and it arriving in York , someone had opened it ,removed the cash and resealed , they covered the SD label with selotape so it was done after i handed it over . Anyway tried to claim and they wouldnt accept !! so i went to an ombudsman and they sided with me , so dont just take whatever Royal Mail say
i am havin problems at the momement with royal mail .. they seem to be very complacent around delivering i have tracked a order today wich was sent clear post code and address. posted to wrong adress luckily no one was in spoke to the sortin office . and its returned back there on the P.D.A. system the lady i spoke to couldnt understand why it went to diffrent area code . but on the system its clear my post area code so i after ring in the morning to organize collection ....fuckin joke i have put a complaint in aswell.because to me its lazzeness or the postmen cant read or to busy to meet deadlines .parcel again yesterday sent and tracked and signed for went to wrong house number after ringin them told me the adress walked half way cross the village knocked on door and explained the sitution and got my parcel .. basically not read adress instead of the letter b they thought it was a six and not even asked for I.D.aswell.so mate may be in the same dillema if they cant organize it or sort it out tommoro..there fuckin useless at times .and the thing is i aint had any problems before either ...hope it gets sorted .....
