Today is the first day of our summer fridays scheme... where every friday we get to knock off at 3 from may to september.. or 1 if it's a BH weekend.. so everyone's pretty bouyant.
I'm in the forces, which has the advantage of meeting people form all over the British Isles and overseas. Which is always good for banter, particularly football or international relations. There is always banter/fighting going on between someone. You don't really have a choice who to socialise with a lot of the time. This isn't usually a problem as you get to meet some right characters. However there are times were you don't like any of them but you have to show a level of toleration in order just to go out with a beer with someone. I've been out with people I wouldn't give the time of day and had some right cringe worthy nights and conversations. Sometimes even leading to major fallout's over opinions. Mind you, if may be me that they don't enjoy going out with....
I have an amazing team behind me and just recently found a client dead and its in these situations that you actually realise just how good and supportive not least experienced my colleagues are, everbody was running on adrenalin and auto pilot but wouldnt have anybody else in my team, can always rely on them and know your back is covered in a crisis or chaos. The death really affected me big time and without the support of everybody at work I doubt i would still be there
I work for a big company and there is always loads of folk about, the few in our department are alright and i have/would go for a beer with them, generally though everyone else thinks i'm a surly miserable cunt and don't usually try and talk but thats fine with me
Oh,and there a couple i'd take pleasure in seeing the obituaries Is that a bit extreme, ahh, fuck 'em.
some are ok, wouldnt piss on most of them though, some of the gaffers are ok, but again i wouldnt piss on them(well i would as most are mags anyway at our office)
