Seemingly Abramovich ready to spend big again heard Modric , Lavezzi from Napoli and Hulk or Falcao from Atl Madrid. Seen Hulk a few times and never impressed with him apart from a decent shot.
Feel the same about Hulk, Dave. I much prefer Cavani who was brilliant against us. He'd have been my number one target this summer. Can't say I'm thrilled about Capello. thing is, he's not exactly known for flamboyant football is he? so cant work out why they'd give it to him.
as for the 72 million for Hazard, probably best putting into context. If Carrolls fee was 35 million + 90,000 a week wages + signing+agents fee, conservatively, how much is that on a 5.5 year deal? wages alone mean it's knocking 60 million so....Carrolls an extreme case but I'd hate to see the 'all up' for many of those around the PL at the minute. Then again, Hazards more than likely includes bonuses for winning the CL which attracts a 50 million win bonus for the winning club so no-one will complain if he helps add another star to the jersey

and to be fair to Hazard he has a medical at Chelsea imminently so he's not exactly going to be breaking his balls in a game of such little consequence. No doubt he will have plenty to prove but he showed enough in glimpses to suggest he will be a vast improvement on your Maloudas, Kalous etc. Love the way he passes the ball with such conviction.
England are dire though. I'd reckon the starting XI against France will be one of the poorest English sides in living memory. Injuries are killing them.
Sorry Steve but on that performance , you'd be better off with Mickey or better still that lethal duo of the Dukes of ..................... lol. (he'll be fine-needs to be given a chance -cant see Chelsea making a major fuck up..... can you?)
