Right, I spilt some lemonade on my Sony Vaio and it now won't even switch on at all. Totally dead. It is still under warranty but that doesn't cover bangs knocks or spillages. What are my chances of blagging a repair out of Sony by not mentioning the spillage and just saying it is dead? Would they be able to tell there has been a spillage when they open it up? It was only a small bit of lemonade. Anyone have any knowledge of this stuff?
They will be able to tell mate. Theres a few fixes you could try but i have only seen them done on smaller stuff like phones. I'm sure i read that sticking it in a bowl of rice is meant to help as it absorbs the liquid, putting it under a lamp to dry it out as well.
