You'll have to download adobe and flash (2 minutes). You'll need a Mac version of Office to make sure you can open all WORD/EXCEL and PP files, but should be able to download it off the net....
There is a default PDF viewer. Office is available for Macs but does not come installed. I would go for a Mac over a PC anytime due to the fact they do not get bogged down with spyware and viruses. As for waiting for Apple to update their products, there is very little information available as to when the product will be available and the actual spec.
Cheers for all the help lads. Going to get one tomorrow. Not too bothered about the update (unless they release a new black one haha)
Any reccomended software I should download when I get it. What about antivirus and internet security? Is the pre-installed stuff (if there is any) good enough?
Let us know how you get on with it. Thinking of making the change myself, never spent a decent amount on a laptop but want something that'll last/not come with all the baggage/virus' like a PC

That's my reason for buying it mate. Just can't be arsed with the hassle I had with my last laptop.
Bought it today so it should be here by monday the lad said.
So ordered yesterday at about 4 oclock. Arrived today. Amazing.
Will take a bit of getting used to but loving it so far. Anyone recommend anything to download for it. Will i need antivirus/internet security?
Mine is almost two years old now. Don't have any antivirus shit and it still runs like the day I got it!
as for office, download openoffice. it is free and compatible with office files. just make sure when yo do something on openoffice, you change the format to an office format and not odt.
I have already bought office for mac amin. Can't be bothered with the hassle of open office that i went through last time i downloaded it on my pc. Cheers though.
Ryan, as for a sleeve, I've got one of these (13" version for MacBook) which I never use cos I only use my Mac at home, yours for £50 delivered if you want it?
Glad you're getting on alright with it, the PS accessories look class and all
Just a question for the Mac users on here, would a standard Macbook (2gb RAM) be fast enough for internet browsing, word etc as well as tinkering about with either Ableton Live or Reason music production software...or should I be looking to either upgrade the RAM or go for a Pro model?
Amin I dont really like that one to be honest. Prefer the one in the link i posted.
Sauzee8 obviously mines is brand new but having a few applications running at once is no problem. With a program like ableton though it might be better going for a more powerful model. Await the experts view cause I'm just a beginner on macs.
