Read a story yesterday , some guy won over a million on the auld lotto , now skint .. Got us chatting about how we would control / spend the money , seems many cases of people getting shed load of money then pissing it away .. Is it all worth it in the end ?
90% of the 3000 jackpot winners have spent it all, which(slightly) shocked me. I d imagine most have bought a decent house at the very least though. I think I d buy a family house, and. a couple of smaller ones for the kids, then start some sort of small business. I d make sure that I always had at least one third of the winnings put to one side though, so that I would always be comfortable and would nt have to worry about going short. If I could afford it, I d buy somewhere in the south of France, maybe Nice. Not that I ve given it much thought...
Depending on the amount won I would most likely buy a decent house and continue working (I enjoy my current job) then bank the rest for the high interest to live on. I wouldn't go to fancy restaurants or buy a yatch or super cars. Not my thing, I enjoy the simple things in life, like drinking tea and watching the telly!
