Lads i'm looking to order some shoes for the US but will there be anymore additional fees/taxes on top of the stated price?
The only stuff I've bought from America before has been through eBay and not direct from a stockist.

timely one Liam. I've been waiting on a WWM Mountain Parka coming via USPS. The tracking was great until it hit the UK - and basically the trail stopped. After searching Royal Mail and then Parcelforce, I found Parcelforce must have had it but not delivering (it's bout 5 days since it entered the country.....) Anyways, phoned today. Customs fee of £19. Presumably the seller didn't put a low value on it as asked (pro is you avoid customs tax, con is it's not insured to the right amount). Anyways, it's actually only £9 customs fee. £12 quid is the robbing bastards PArcelforce for a "handling fee" !!!!! I'd no information to let me know. Apparently therer's a letter in the post.... but still waiting.....

Had this a few times G, does my suede in. The admin fee's are joke and they try and fob them off as saying its customs that levy them which is bollox otherwise they would all be the same yet some charge £8, £10 , £12 and even £15. Gets me that we are the ones who have to do all the chasing all the time. I had the letter scenario earlier on in the year, after I had chased Parcelforce they told me a letter was on its way, the letter never came, I ended up ringing the depot who put me onto a central office where I could pay over the phone and the parcel arrived 2 days later.
Not sure, I usually put value as $30 and mark as gift. I've sent loads over that I've sold and have had posted to me just like you want and haven't heard anyone getting a fee
The shoes I'm after aren't that expensive at all really, around £65.
Would that affect the charges?
sure its yes you will get stung for that av got an arctic parka on route ups standard value 40$ will let you know how i get on
I sent a Jkt to someone on F***D once and put the right amount ,they wanted nearly £100 give or take before they would release the jkt , so from then on i always put a low value ($30) gift and up until recently never had a problem , ive sent loads over the yrs and only had one parcel go missing . So worth going that route imo
