Glad to hear your okay Jonah.. Best of luck kicking the bad habits so you'll stay healthy for long to come!
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity
Christ, thats some wake up call J, hope your ok and get sorted. Had something similar with chest pains a few years back that ended up being Chostrochrondritus which is some kind of virus but went through all the same things, ecg's, blood, treadmill. Know how you feel feel as scared the shit out of me. Luckily they have spotted it and treating you. All the best fella.

Glad to hear you are OK, must've been a frightening experience. Any other family members had similar problems at an early age?
Look after yourself.
yes mate both parents mom had angina at 42 and heart attack at 50 and my old man stroke at 52 so need to take care f myself now
You need to chuck those ciggies away straight away if you can mate. Easier said than done I know but a warning like this should give you the willpower to do so. Best of luck.
This is the reason that i am making a concerted effort to lose weight. Up until 5 years ago i have always been a relatively fit fella & never had a weight problem but I was 16st 10lbs on the 4th of January which i was pretty shocked by. This mornings weigh in i was 15st 6lb - i have been to the gym every day & have eaten a lot more heathly than the shit i was shoving down my neck. It was always my plan to start training & dieting, but what really brought it home was when i was on the rig this trip a fella younger than me had to be taken off the rig with a suspected heart attack - we had him off the rig within an hour - he had a tightening of an artery which has now been fitted with a stint & they reckon that he did have a mild heart attack the night before he went off. At my age i'm coronary fodder - especially the way i was leading my life over the last few years.
Its amazing what they can do nowadays mate - its time to take it easy - mut not too easy if you know what i'm saying
"If you have friends like mine, raise your glasses. If you don't have friends like mine, raise your standards."
Good luck with it Jonah I think you've had the lift you needed mate.
On another note my mucka died in june age 52, regular exercise, non smoker, size large didn't eat much junk, ran a few miles a week, was dead within 15 minutes of him having it, didn't make it to hospital, scary
Do you mind me asking how you knew mate, was it found at a routine hospital appt or similar?
Clearly heart attacks in real life aren't as shown on telly etc.
My brother had one at 44 in Tesco car park, didn't feel right and went home then onto the Doctor. Ended up with the stent etc.
I felt crap when i got up for work at 04:45 didnt feel ill just really tierd and downish, i had a few pains the previous evenings where it woke me up lasting just a few seconds, then when i went to work kept getting a pain the left side neck and by my armpit and central chest, niggly but nothing to think it hurts alot, then at around 2pm i walked up some stairs and just had this crush pain and went all light headed like i was going to pass out and felt like i couldnt breath and sweated buckets, work then took me to A&E and they did tests, ecg's, bloods etc thats when it came back my ecg was fine but my cholesteral level was high, which in turn the doc said it was a warning and he suspects furring on my archeries due to the high cholesteral , so tabs and asprin and waiting for treadmill test now Cheers for the comments lads
