Are these tiny splashguards really do their work? Just wondering... I'm building a bike myself, too, and recently decided for myself that sparing mudguards just for the looks is hipster-shit. Now I'm looking for decent looking ones and yours are quite nice.

Not sure about the look of the hammered ones, but they all look high-quality. Thx! Actually after checking some pictures of bikes with VO fenders I realized that mudguards not only are very useful, but are also essential for this "vintage look" I want to create. Well, one could say "vintage look" is also hipster-shit, but as I'm a fan of vintage clothing... It's about having style while not looking like someone from art college. ;)

They work as far as keeping the brake calipers clean and tidy but dont keep the shit off you if your into riding in the rain. not sure if mudguards are hipster but that doesnt cross my mind when riding, i try and ride as far away as possible from the city centre. preferr the tranquil isolation of the peak district with a pocketfull of LSD and skunk my man [clown]
