Old firm casuals... really? This is Lars Frederiksens new oi-band from San Francisco. It seems as if he's trying to merge skinhead and causal culture in some odd way?! Their Facebook page list all the skinhead clichés: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Old-Fi...1491105?sk=info
Not my cup of tea, but then again it's almost 30 years since there were any decent oi released.
Americans don't seem to get British football culture do they? Liked Rancid when I was a bit younger but the tune posted above is shocking, the lyrics are totally cringeworthy too.
To be fair though has oi music ever been any good? Well maybe the 1st sham album and that 4 skins album that's name escapes me...that however is a steaming pile of shit, which is a shame because he wrote out comes the wolves which was the greatest thing my 16 year old ears had ever heard at the time. Might dig it out this evening actually...
he's a wall fan? Sure I've seen him in a Business/West Ham t-shirt before?
Yeah, he goes to matches with Roi from the Last Resort. Has a big Millwall FC and lion on his leg which made it even better when I had him do the West Ham on my hands.
learn something new everyday, surprised a bloke from California has any interest in football at all. Know his family are danes so maybe comes from there?
Tbh i like Rancid and like him , but this is just ridiculous if you ask me , no offence but a typical yank wannabe brit hooligan thing . shite !
* i Just posted the first comment without listening to the track ,just commenting on the Name ,which is cringeworthy enough, obviously trying his own version of the Rejects ? I know Rancid ripped of the Clash , but at least that was decent ,this . as others have said embarrassing !
Desperate Times Call For Drastic Measures , Bad Boys Basking In Sinful Pleasures !
I remember seeing cold world in manchester a few years ago and they were all decked out in stone island, ralph etc, was talking the drummer about english casual culture, seemed quite into it.
I've noticed lately that hardcore bands and "kids" have jumped onto the casual scene. It's all a bit mental.
English football is huge in America so them being into it wouldn't surprise me. The few times I've seen them though they were were Nikes and North Face.
