McManaman is an interesting shout Tony with all the class players they've had over the years, boyhood everton fan too wasnt he?
correct mate. IIRC gack head Fowler was too.
For me, it's tricky. The best or those I'd have wanted Spurs players probably played for us - Hoddle, Greaves (who was ours first , Graeme Roberts). I suppose the one obvious one (and he nearly did under Hoddle as he wanted him allegedly) is Gazza. Pre Gary Charles tackle of course
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
None player just got ride of sharbel touma who left for our rivals then we got relegated in 1999 and been out in Europe after that. He signed for us the last season and was booed for the entire season.

Soft spot for him and enjoyed watching him play at Real Madrid. For the record, he was a boyhood everton supporter, just like the rest of their scouse players. I even like Robbie Fowler.

difficult one this lads but if you could have 1 player in your side that played for your teams closest rivals who would you take from them, past or present?
Very hard for me to say but fair play to the pigs becuase they've had some very good maybe even world class players over the years. I would probably have David Hirst or Di Cannio from them. Still guts me that Di Cannio played for them, celtic and west ham, 3 teams I have no time for.
Will be interesting to see the OF fans answer this one.
probably Nick "touch like a rapist" Montgomary
seriously.....Tony Currie/Paul McGrath/Brian Deane are the ones that spring to mind
not surprised by this choice Wadey. even the united fans on here might get on my back but i have and always will think that Nick Montgomery is an absolution pipe of fucking spunk, wish someone else would have decided to be 'the player that never leaves'. someone like kyle walker or Vasilis Boborkis
From the Owls i'd have to take Di Canio or Benito Carbone. Both class in my opinion and that hurts to say.
I honestly can't think of a single player in history that I'd have at Villa from Birmingham City. Even Trevor Francis in his day was no better than who we had. From Albion I'd have Bryan Robson From Wolves Bully From Wallsall David Kelly
