Went to nearly every game home and away back in denmark, including european games. Since I've moved to London it's obviously not possible. Got a ticket for the chelsea game in three weeks though. for west brom I've been to 3 games so far this season, going up on the 5th for the birmingham game. haven't really got the cash to go to more games.
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity
Been a ST holder at Bramall Lane for last 8-odd years (will need to check), up until this year I'd go to most away too. Unfortunately last year of uni course, change of job, getting engaged has coincided with us being utter shite this season. So I've no inclination to go to many away at the moment
When we're in L1 next season reckon I'll be going to a lot more purely for the change of scenery. We've been in the same league for something like 12 out of 13 of the last seasons, playing the same teams, seeing the same faces...
For me, footy is as much about seeing the lads as it is watching 90mins of 22 overpaid numpties on a field
just out of interest how often do you chaps go to football? Guess we probably have everything covered from away season tickets to people who don't go anymore for whatever reason. I used to go and watch Chelsea ten times a season (that's from living in the south of Ireland) and would usually try and take in another game somewhere else, especially if I was spending the weekend in London. Nowadays I'm lucky to see them three times a season and when I do go, it's normally away from home - I hate Stamford Bridge, possibly the worst ground for atmosphere in the top flight I'm afraid to say. Visit Cardiff for the odd weekend with the other half and have enjoyed visiting their new stadium although their fans will tell you it's not a patch on Nininan Park. Taking in the Wales England game next month and looking forward to that! Apart from that I watch the local league of Ireland side ocassionally, almost out of obligation more so than anything else, the football is dreadful and league of ireland fans are odd!
Very similar to yourself mate. Through the 90's went to between 5-10 games a season - virtually all home. in the North, there were only 3 Chelsea clubs then. Now there are about 33 we wrapped ours up in 97 as it made no difference back then as tickets were allocated on individual memberships so we just kept going as individuals as such. Now? I go to 2-4 a season. Our "club" kept going in a sort of 'unofficial' capacity and we've one big trip every year which, I'f I'm honest, is more to do with a weekend away with your mates than the match. We're doing Blackpool away this year and I anticipate aways only in future - the Bridge is shocking at times now. I'll go one home game a season still as Iv'e a weekend in the smoke with the Mrs every year - done Arsenal this year - but my motivation isn't what is was. Shipping best part of £400-500 for Flights, hotel, ticket, spending money? - Now you find that a forum meet or long weekend in Europe is preferred for me where previously that would have been a match I'd have been at. Maybe when we're back in The Championship I'll get my hunger back....
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."
Only been 8 times this year at home and 0 away matches, its the least ive ever been to at this point in a season before and dont think ill go again this year. Just not arsed with football in general at the minute and havn't been bothered for a couple of seasons now, will still check the scores and keep up with the club gossip but thats about it.
Miss the banter with the lads though, maybe ill go to a few away matches next season, being in league 1 might motivate me to check out a few new grounds...
been a season ticket holder at hillsboro for the last 8 years, missed one home this season, tend to get to at least 12 away matches a season, think ive been to 8 so far this season. Got the delights of carlisle coming up 2moro.
hurts to say but feel the same as some of the blades on here. been to only 3 games this year, 2 against premier league opposition in the cups looking for a bit of a rush like the good old days, left feeling disgruntled. United are gonna go down too unless we sort it out.

I often think about Chelsea playing in the lower divisions and think of some of the cracking away trips there'd be on offer. The reality though is if Chelsea were relegated we'd go bust! As a fan of football though (anorak in other words), the Championship is the league I follow the closest.

Fair play pal. Fairly certain when I tell the misses next season that I'm going to Bournemouth and Carlisle away she'll call in the men in White coats!
I'm a season ticket holder at Villa but miss a few games every season because of working weekends and Sky getting their grubby mits on the K.O times. Try to get to a couple of away days every year.
every home game at the wolves unless the call of good money comes up then off to work i go, dont go away half as much as i'd like to,keep saying we will, but never docant give it up really as its only real day on the piss with me mates nowadays
too right mate, pissin in the wardrobe, falling asleep in ya tea...quality, season tickets for as long as i can see kid..
Been a season ticket holder for the last 6 seasons, including this one and due to a bad back and short of work i've been twice this season. Not really missed it and with cuntface putting ST prices up again when everyone's struggling i haven't renewed and next season will instead just do a few select aways.

against York of all teams! Been to Kenilworth Road a few times - a kip but I liked it! Can be a hard little ground to find up those residential streets!
