Just had a lad passed his test 17yrs old and was going to get a 1.4 corsa , £1995 to buy , his dads just rang me saying insurance was going to be £2600 !!! how the hell are they supposed to start !
Some companies wouldnt even give him a quote ???
Make no wonder there are loads driving around with no insurance .
If they are charging stupid money like that then they should offer a "type of cash back incentive " for having no accidents within the year .
was lucky when i passed 2 year ago when i was 17 i was straight put on my dads company insurance , if not dont know where i would of got that type of money from straight away.
My pals son is the same, his insurance has fitted a box in the car and he has cerphew's cant drive it after 10:30pm and before 7am etc also a milage limit and cant leave the city of brum in the car. Unreal i know but thats the only way he could get it to £1500
Live life to the full and enjoy, try and help people who havn't got as much as you, you never know what tomorrow will bring!!!!
That why i stay clear of young drivers on the road... cheaper for them to run the risk of no insurance or they simply buy a car and cant insure it !!! I Sympathise with them on this hate insurance companies at the best of times all crooks in my eyes all ways get out of paying and screw everyone

It's not only car insurance, my Nan went to Cyprus last year, 85 years old in reasonable health for here age some companies wanted £1500 for a fortnight! More than the fucking holiday.
My lads 17, bought him a little peugeot 106 for a grand, insurance quotes ranged from £2500 to £4000!!!! Took out admiral multi car policy and got it down to £1700. Fucking shocking
Here in New Zealand it's leagal to drive what you like , no matter how old you are, how many CC or turbos ,but your a dick if you don't insure . My 2 lads aged 15 & 16 both have driving licences (yes insane I know you can get your driving licence at 15 , driving in school uniform is a common sight, looks wrong) they drive a peugeot 206 gti180 fully comp named drivers with me as main driver.........$700 .....about 350 uk pounds a year. fooking madness ehh.
