To be honest im struggling to find any that Im actually going to use. Facebook I will. Shazam could be handy but I can see myself using it once in a blue moon.
I'm just umming and arring whether to get the iphone4, 24 month contract though, could just extend the current by 12 months and get the iPhone 5 when it comes out.
As for apps,
Ebay is handy, gives you reminders when items are ending (you can get paypal to but I think it's a bit dodgy if you're phone gets lost/robbed)
I've just downloaded NavFree, free sat nav. Was sceptical at first but used it at the weekend and is sound.
Soundcloud is good if you use it
Sky sports and news
I've got a few odd ones like a currency converter that uses up to date rates, scientific calculator, stuff like that
Photobucket, good for uploading pics to this place
I use the met office app, ebay, twitter, around me, sky news, sky sports, sky football, Football league comapnion, ECB, NME, TV Catch up and the kids are always downloading games I rarely look at.
Dubsiren - emulator & samples (lee perry, yellowman, u roy and so on). Great fun, but unfortunatly it's not very convenient to hook up the iPhone to a mixer while DJing at a club and drinking lots of beer.
might have to check that dubsiren.. ravebox is another good one for just messsin about mixin up a load of old samples, 2 bad mice, dominator, altern 8 etc..instant rave on! the one music app that really takes the biscuit though is nanostudio, a fully fledged, sequencer, synth, drum machine, sampler etc, unreal for on a phone? camera+ is a good camera app. i swap faces is pretty good as well , does what it says. google translate is pretty impressive as is word lens! Oh and Mr Anchor, you noticed there's a CAMRA good beer guide app?
Nano studio is ace. If you have an iPad you can use it on that too and control it via a midi keyboard or synth through the camera connection kit. Needs a powered USB hub if using a synth. Funk box is ace for drum loops too

are these free appsthat are mentioned?, thinking of getting an iphone whether it be a 3 or a 4. just dont fancy paying for loads of apps that rarely get used.
^^^^ I rarely pay for an app. I did just buy the imgur app for £1.19. It's a photo sharing app and it's the bollocks...
@ Adda "Oh and Mr Anchor, you noticed there's a CAMRA good beer guide app?" No I fucking didnt...I'm on it. Cheers J - although I'm a creature of habbit and my own square mile...
