Not easy watching this, I don't think I've ever saw anything like this, made me feel sick. Bring's everything home in comparison, I've lost the main part of my life in my son but I couldn't think about being part of this with the whole family, thought's are heavily on them all today.

Just hit Hawaii and due to hit California in a bit more than an hour. Doesn't look all that bad in Hawaii but it's still dark and haven't seen much footage yet.
earthquakes arent linked to the atmosphere so i doubt they could be immediatly linked to global warming etc. the earths crust s made up of tectonic plates which are always moving, some away from one another, some slide alongside and some move towards each other. pretty sure the plate japan lies on is on the boundary of two plates moving towards each other. (the very basics - two plates almost battle it out, until one gives way creating the tremors) tsunami can be formed from the displacement of water when the earthquake occurs.

Sad news, heard over a 1000 people have died. One aspect of the whole thing is how the Japanese have built there whole infrastructure, definitely needs to be looked at for the future

Climate change definitely effects the earths infrastructure. As the climate heats up it in turn can change the core temperature of the earth which in turn makes plates move easier and faster which in turn will create a more severe earthquake. The cooling drastically and rapidly also makes more cracks around fault lines. It's like concrete, when poured it's hot and needs to cool at a specific speed. They put chemicals in it in winter that slow down the process and in summer ones that speed it up. If it cools improperly it will crack.
Now reports of a radiation leak at a nuke plant in Japan.
ma brothers in Costa Rica....central america....on the coast,, and they have been told tae evacuate......think its just a precaution though.....fucking hope it is..........
sad news indeed. my mrs is into nature and all its foyables and when we were watching the news she said to me that mother nature could wipe us all out in a heartbeat and i am inclined to agree with her this time! now i read a bit and i watch a bit of telly about this and you lot can shoot me down if you like but i think the world is going mad with natural disasters and the middle east going daft! now if anyone has read about nostrodamus or the myans(which i have done in depth) take note of what is going on and have a quiet moment of thought! it will scare thee!!!!!!

'enlighten us' ....[/quote] well i dont want to go into great detail but the myan calendar end in december next year, now that wont mean much to most but it is the end of a cycle of the calendar now this doesnt mean the end of the world but it means the end of a cycle and the cycle of the myan calendar has 13 cycles and we are entering the last of these 13 cycles. now the myan calendar says that the end of this cycle is a crossroads of human life, whilst nostrodamus has said very similar! now i am by no means superstitious but this is always in the back of my mind. have a look around the world on the news and it wakes you up a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its(not) funny how when a few hundred people die in a major disaster we re all shocked and show compassion, but when other nations people are dying daily of disease and starvation we really dont really take any notice

agreed mate, i find it dissapointing how it takes a natural disaster to ignite sympathy worldwide for loss of life, yet wars will still be waged, and suffering ignored.
