Looking at picking up a new camera next month and have only used point and shoots until now, but looking to find something that gives a bit more control and extra optical zoom for a £300-£400 budget. DSLRs are probably too complex for me and out of the budget range, so considering a super-zoom or bridge type camera.
I've short listed the following....
Sony HX100v Olympus SZ30-MR Fuji Finepix HS200 Nikon P500
Each has its pro's, but apart from the slightly reduced zoom on the Olympus cant really separate them and must admit that the reduced bulk/price of the Olympus appeals. Although I'm not familiar enough with lens technology to know if image quality would be greatly reduced versus the others....?
