I know it was a cup game yesterday but god what a awful place. Gourmet restaurants outside, foreign fans arriving in coaches with suits and "official visitor" badges etc. When we didn't sing you could hear a pin drop. Goodbye to the champions league for us this year, hopefully we'll be back next year though. And yes, I know theres no excuse for the shirts we played in, one of the biggest mistakes by the club haha.

Yes I was mate, probably the thing I've missed the most since I've moved here, went to every game back home so it was great seeing everyone again. Police was a mess, we walked 600 fans from piccadilly circus to earls court as they wouldn't let us on the tube. I think there were around 3500 copenhagen fans in the ground.
Palermo's strip is lovely and classic, I have no idea where the idea for our shirt comes from. We play in white/blue at home and our away shirts are black. Historically our 3rd shirts have been either blue or red but this year some idiot came up with a fancy idea. Pretty sure it won't return next year.

Im a season ticket holder but CL are not included and lots of people i know boycotted the game last night because of ridiculous ticket prices. We were hoping for a small gate, so the club would take note but alas no luck. They sold it to thousands of morons who know nothing about the club, probably loads of 1st timers and corporates. Just like when copenhagens proper fans did the same on the 1st leg. All you could hear was chelsea. But this time the tables turned and all you could hear was copenhagen, fair play they were fantastic. I was at home cringing in my seat and becoming more and more disillusioned at the state of stamford bridge.
Brilliant support from Copenhagen fans last night, sounded very loud on TV , I haven't been to the new Stamford bridge but in the 80 s & 90 s it was a hostile place to go , i suppose all the corporate lot who don't care about the team or club don't help the atmosphere, it's not just Chelsea but most premier league clubs whose real fans are been priced out of going.

Yours, embarassed armchair supporter.[/quote] In a nutshell mate.57 for the cheapest seat was fucking disgraceful. I'm doing maybe 1-2 homes a season now and sticking to aways otherwise. And makes me laugh when people think we'd be devastated if we missed out on cl football. A few seasons in the el or no euro football would maybe help rid the place of hangers on.

you "real fans" arent wanted anymore, they d rather a load of first timers got the tickets, as they spend more on merchandise. Things are bad when 3,500 Danes can come to an English ground, 30 years ago they d have shite themselves at the prospect...
English support in general is probably the worst in europe. To the extent, that other countrys steal our songs and use them against us with no reply. Very rarely do english clubs outsing the home fans in europe. Its laughable.

Same as that mate. I cringe sometimes when I see the cameras pan to the west stand. Our away support is still decent but there's a strong argument to say that Stamford Bridge has the worst atmosphere in the top flight and it's nigh on heart breaking for a club whose support was once seen as market leaders when it came to terrace culture (and I'm not just talking about aggro...)

Got asked to stop singing and watch the match in the shed upper about 5 years ago by some bint an her bloke. Unreal. He didn't realise there was 15 of us though......

i wouldnt worry too much. unless there are major changes in football sharpish , certainly in the higher leagues there will be no atmosphere at all, not like theres much going on at the moment anyway. its a sanitised experience.
reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.

you're not wrong. give it a few more years and there'll be an intercontinental league for the 'big' teams and maybe some sanity can return for everyone else

Even SPHell would be exciting then. Imagine the likes of Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts and the pikey juste minks all challenging for the title towards the end of the season. Be fucking magic.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one
I can't wait for the football bubble to burst, and it will do. Then clubs will be begging us to go back and it will be all the sweeter to tell them to fuck right off.

Agree with Chris and Glenn on this one. What you also have to understand is it was a massive game for Copenhagen, it wasn't for us. That couple with the outrageous prices for the tickets, meant it was always going to be a shit atmosphere. I bought my season tickets for £61 (normally £45), then found out i couldn't go. Ended up selling the pair for £50.
btw who was shouting through the minutes silence, us or them?
THE GAME WAS FINISHED AS FAR AS CHELSEA AND THEIR FANS WERE CONCERNED. WHERE ITS YOUR CUP FINAL PLAYONG cHELSEA,THEY COUL;DNT CARE AND ONLY TURNED UP SO THEY CAN GET TICKETS FOR FUTURE ROUNDS!
COPEHAGEN IS A NOTHING TEAM TO BRITISH CLUBS.
I REMEMEBER MY TEAM ,ABERDEEN, GIVEN YOU A 4-0 SPANKING 3 YEARS AGO IN EUFACUP. NOW THATS BAD AS WE ARE ROTTEN

And we beat Man U 1-0 in the Champions League 5 years ago. Played 2-2 with City in the Uefa Cup two years ago. Hardly relevant is it.
It was my second visit to the Bridge, and this was as bad as the first one. I went in april last year for the chelsea - stoke game and it was the same, bus loads of foreigners arriving and taking pictures in front of the chelsea team wall. It was like being in the zoo. Hardly the same as going to Upton Park, so to be honest I think some EPL grounds still have a great atmosphere. Off course I know that it will be more noisy in a derby or a game against the top clubs but still. I'm not blaming the Chelsea supporters, it was merely a comment on the sad state of the ground.

Mate, I think you'll find that us, Arsenal and Utd particularly have massive numbers of plastics, corporate, Johnny Come Latelys, etc....etc....as we're more attractive for these individuals due to being involved at the business end of things most seasons. THe same will happen to Man City and Spurs if they retain the 'top 4' status and start adding silverware. For us, it catapulted bigtime once Abramovich came in and we were big news. Noticed a massive difference from then. And the club is encouraging it - all part of the globalisation of the club ("we've got X million supporters worldwide...." ). Throw in the fact that no rivalty exists between us and you, the tie was more or less won in the first leg and the fact that we've a few traditional big games still left this season as well as CL - then it all contributed. I'm a harsh critic of our home support - a poor reflection of what was generally acknowleged as top notch during the golden years - but it isn't specific to us as I've said. But once in a while when the old support turns out, we can still make it a decent atmosphere. Ask any Celtic who came to the pre season friendly a few years back about hostility......
