I use auctionstealer.co.uk after being recommended it - got sick of losing out by 57p etc... Still only any good if your offer is enough in the first place but occasionally gets you a surprisingly cheap item :-) Never had any issues with scams etc BTW.
I think you set your highest amount, or can say £1 above highest bid, then set when you want to bid -5 seconds, -1 seconds, whatever, and it does the rest. You don't have to be online at the same time as auction end.
It'll put it in up to your highest bid, and won't matter when that is reached. Say your highest bid is £250, someone with a sniper can beat you by bidding £251 with 1 second left.
EDIT Also, I'm only assuming how these work from what people tell me about them. Not used one myself....yet.
from memory, whoever receives the 'invite' for auction sniper gets three free snipes. i've been using it (only occasionally to be fair) for a couple of years with no probs. although it's still lost out a couple of times, presumably to others using snipers
I just manually snipe, have 2 windows open at the same time, 1 to see the countdown timer and the other one confirming my bid price.
yep i try my best just to do that. its free and no danger of being scammed. it also adds a bit of excitement to my boring life.
often set an alarm on my phone so that i know when the items end so i can be sure to be online....

I do the alarm thing. Should we get out more?
probably, but bitches love it when i get cool new clothes. so it evens it out i guess...
I just make sure I 1000% want it, then wack in my absolute highest bid and normally win it by a long shot. Never fails. Just have to be prepared to put your hand in your pocket. But too many people want something for peanuts these days so I can see why they are popular.
