I see the FA have now charged him and have once again shown themselves to be prize cocks.
Rooney elbows someone in the face and get's away scot free, but is charged for swearing into a camera. Work that one out?
You are right of course and it is because the FA were powerless to charge him for the elbow incident, which the media demanded they do by the way, that they have basically got him now. Of course the FA set a precedent when Gerrard committed a similar elbow offence and he wasn't charged and the media didn't set up a witchunt to demand he was neither.

Yawn this is getting boring now Rooney & the majority of todays modern era footballers are overpaid tosspots.End of story.
If you get involved in a discussion about something on a forum then fine, but don't sulk off when something doesn't fit with your agenda.

I'm not sure where I'm throwing my toys out, I'm no fan of Rooney, you'll have to point out which of my comments brought you to that conclusion. Well to be fair you do seem to have an anti-United agenda (wouldn't want it any other way from an lfc supporter) and I was simply pointing out FA precedents involving Gerrard and his elbow and then you wanted to end the thread. Either have a proper debate with all the facts or don't bother at all is all I'm saying.

The modern day precedent was probably set when the FA let Shearer off when he smashed Neil Lennon in the head with his boot (after he threatened to retire from international football). But I get your point. The FA could have charged him for the McCarthy elbow, but hid behind the old 'referee saw it and mentioned it in his match report incident'. They've done it before, Ben Thatcher got a yellow card for this at the time. The FA charged him after the game and he got a lengthy ban.

Yeah I remember the Shearer incident but the reason I mentioned the Gerrard one is because they were both off the ball and very similar elbows. Rooney should fuck the England team off and see how the FA like that.
Talking of Rooney and swearing, remember England playing against a South African club side and Rooney gave the referee a verbal volley of expletives which was caught quite clearly on TV. All the children must have seen it! Why didn't the FA ban Rooney for two games then? Oh yeah.....it would have menat him not playing for England in the world cup
However, I love Wayne Rooney. Plays with real passion and wants to win. He shows that and that is what being a footballer is about. Not like most in the Premiership that are all show and little tarts. He is young, loads of money. Got some whores. Who blames him?
to be honest i hate rooney as im a liverpool fan but to be fair how pointless is the fa gettin involved he showed passion rightly or wrongly but isnt that what the games about the lad jus won the league for united if he wants to swear so what??????? to be fair ive sat in the ground and seen gerrard scream am the fuckin man after scorin past pompey dont get me wrong hes the fuckin man so whats the difference PASSION is what the game is about!!!!!!!!!!

Agree Jack. He also sat in the broomloan at an old firm game a few years ago, so he's alright in my book.
