Thing is it was bigged up on forums as a 'lads' films when it really isn't. FV is part of the story but it's just a medium not the message. Hardly say it's 'homo shite' just a coming of age story like millions of others. If it didn't feature Adidas originals it wouldn't get a mention
Brokeback Casual. Decent soundtrack though- Bunnymen, Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire to name a few.
The soundtrack is top class. Film has a homosexual undercurrent. Didn't pick up on that reading the novel to be honest. Worth a watch even if it's to cross it off the list.

Spot on, it was marketed as a 'casual' film. When in reality the casual aspect of the film had very little relevance to the actual plot.
Having said that, it was decent. Think it captured that era pretty well, although having not been about in that era i wouldn't know. An ok film but nothing more.. and the repetition of the faux-philosophical lines throughout the film was annoying and added nothing.
