I'm always a bit paranoid about sending abroad I normally just say UK sales unless it's a sale on the forum.

I post abroad all the time. Always signed for to cover yourself.

When you do the customs dec mark it as a gift as he may get clobbered for tax. Does not affect you in the slightest.
