I know this might not be the smartest time to start such topic, but I think we should have a thread to discuss the final few rounds of this year's Premier League. In a sober way, obviously.
Six rounds left (plus a few postponed matches)
I reckon most people agree that Man United are as close to winning as possible, would need a major mess up for them to miss this one. Undoubtedly Arsenal will drop some points so I think United will win this. Not sure about Chelsea, they might get second place, they have an (in theory) easy game this weekend and perhaps they can get the boost they need to compete with Arsenal, City and Spurs. Don't think Liverpool will get Champions League spots although they are playing well at the moment. As for relegation last weekend was some relief for West Brom what a result, but a very tough game coming up this weekend, but I reckon in the end we will get the points we need to survive. The fact that the team currently at 10th is in danger says it all really, I think the last round will be a very very nervy one!! Would be a bit funny if three W's went down and what about Blackpool, after such a good first half they have completely crumbled, would be horrific for them to go down but can definitely see it happening, they have played like a championship side for months now.
Thoughts?

Points dropped recently against Sunderland and Blackburn both at The Emirates will cost The Arsenal the League.
A few ifs and buts - but if The Arsenal can beat the Scousers on Sunday, then embarass the SPUDS on Wednesday that would set it up nicely for the visit of Man U to the Emirates. Game on. Not over yet.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions
Best Premiership season ever imo, excitement at both ends. I think the title race is pretty much over but you cant say for definate, i think Arsenal will need to win all their remaining games to have any chance of catching Utd but its going to be difficult. I think City will just beat Spurs to 4th just because they have the easier run in. As for the relegation battle it still really is too close to call, dissapointed to say it but i think W*A might just be out of it now and Villa as well (who i wanted to go down more than anyone). The only team i cant see getting out of it would be Wigan but after that there still are quite a few teams in the mix, personally i think its 3 out of Wigan, us, Blackpool, Blackburn and West Ham. We have to play Blackburn at home on the last day of the season which could be a decider. Im just praying that the shit dont send us down, i think the city would be burnt to the ground.
Best Prem and Champ season for years imo.
Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City top 4 for me. Blackpool, Wigan and Wolves to get relegated.
Completely agree mate, Championship is superb this year and will be good next year with Brighton up there, I'm not fussed on if the Albion go down, I've never liked the Premier anyway my happy day's were all 2nd and 3rd division and not surrounded by cunts, but hey ho.
I've had that exact bet that you've predicted there, those top 4 and the 3 to go down

I don't think we'll beat you in a few weeks, lets face it you are really due a win against us, we have taken the piss since 96 really. Would like to beat you though just to see the riot and rampage through Wolverhampton and everyones phones ringing every 2 minutes

I think its going to be a draw at our place, at the moment anyway, could obviously change depending on what teams are available come the game. Said at the start of the season it would come to one of us sending the other down and now it looks like only you lot will have the chance. If it does happen though i think its going to be 10x as bad up there than the other riots that have happened after we played you lot/Cardiff/Millwall etc. As for your other statement above about not caring if you get relegated as you dont like the Prem im exactly the same. Just dont enjoy going to the footy in the Prem anywhere near as much, most the games this season ive spent in the bar and i havent bothered getting a ticket for next season. I think if we go down ill get another one but i wont if we stay up i dont think. I dont think its just because of the results either, more all the fans that just appear after youve been promoted, just seems to change the whole atmosphere around the place with both the home and away fans.
Without doubt mate, it just feel's quite flat up there in the prem, some day's its great but the majority of the time you might aswell be sat watching sky sports with the atmosphere around, will defo be doing more non league games next year. I'll be at yours though in a couple of weeks.

Another thing that makes me not want to get a ticket now is you know that you can easily find a boozer that is going show pretty much every game. Have started to get tempted to sell my ticket against you lot and stay in the boozer as the tickets are like gold dust and its on sky but i just cant bring myself to do it Who do you follow non league wise? A few of us have talked about doing the same but never get round to it. Done a couple of Telford games and thats about it.

Yeah know all about your Telford connection's, I was brought up in Telford age 3-14 aswell. Me and a few other Albion used to go with Newport as we all get on, had some great days/nights there. Done Tipton a few times as it's over the road from me, Tamworth, Nuneaton, Solihull, Kidderminster before they come up the leagues, one of the Albion younger lads who was turfed out for grassing up in a case over England/Wales albion/oldham/stoke case runs the Kiddie lads now, would love a trip back one day in a friendly other lads I know have done/do Stafford. And Halesowen, went a few times with my old man and my lad before he passed on, were pondering making a thing of Halesowen for us to go to as a group again, well we were between the lads who are coming off their ban's but my other good mate who I was going with just got 9 months for Rangers/Man utd and is Glasgow nick until August, really bad result for him, even worse as they have labelled him a Man Utd supporter on the news and in the papers the first letter I sent him couple of days ago I sent him the write up of him as United Black Country humour, he's probably smashing his cell up..... http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central...er-ibrox-clash/
Going off topic now mate sorry, do you go elsewhere but Telford ? Chasetown ?

Fooking hell done a few there then, nah the only one ive done myself is Telford and thats never been with our lot when going to the actual game, just with the old man and some of the family ive got over that way. A few of us have talked about going to a Willenhall game a few times but never got round to it might start going to a few if i dont bother with a ticket next season. Not a good thing for your mate then stuck up there and being known as Utd
I have watched stourbridge a few times over the years , decent side now so I am told £6 to get in i keep saying I will go more but afternoon drinking gets in the way. A fella by me has a season ticket there and one at Barca , he reckons Barca just shade it on the football front:)
Twenty minutes ind and two absolutely crucial goals. 1-0 hammers and 0-1 wigan. Blackpool could be going down

I think United won the league especially after gettin beat to city today think theyll come back stronger followed by chelsea 2nd arsenal 3rd Man city 4th And hopfully we get sixth which shows how much ive lowered me expectations but considering how we were playin pre xmas under hodge that would be a great result. Think Man city bolton fa cup final United Real Champions league final
oh and to go down blackpool unfortunately even tho holloway has done miracles competin with that squad west ham because i simply dont rate avram grant and wigan i think mccarthy a good manager and will scrape it to keep wolves up

It's something I have wanted to do for a few years now, would make a decent weekend out I think.

I think it would be good if you were single, but only as a massive sports fan, BarcaBaggies does all the big events and many other sports events, which is great if thats your thing, personally though if I was single my routine from Thursday night would be make it through work Friday go out Friday afternoon with a big bag of powder and crystals, take home some semi decent tramp after a hard night out who was also off it and would let me snort coke off her flange, back home line on the kitchen side, quick shower and out for the match, trudge around doing Saturday antics and if I wasn't sitting in a small tiled room off my barnet looking forward to a bowl of frosties in the morning I would flutter away enough notes on lap dances and bet's before chugging away in a local haunt or club up town until sunday morning, If I was lucky I'd end up in some far reached shithole in the back end of Stechford or Hall Green knowing full well I would have to get a check up pretty soon, or if I was so monster looking that nobody would touch me with a bargepole it would be decks out back at an after party and tramp around until late Sunday when I drop and sleep like a baby hoping that some time warp will wrap itself around me and plunge me deep into a different world then regurgitate me on the morn of the following Friday....... Barcelona pfffft you can do better mate. Classy Football, Beautiful women, Hot sun, its not all its cracked up to be.

We are really in the shit at the minute just can't see were are next win is going to come from, we still have united and city to play aswell.
I think it will go down to the last game of the season, could turn out the winner stays up maybe? would love for that to happen and we won but i don't think my nervous could stand that. Can see it being a very entertaining day in Wolverhampton that day.
