Well done Barca, well done Messi - different class. Might go down easy at times but the shit he has to put up with on the pitch, the tackles from behind etc, class shows through!
Absolute genius from Messi. Best player of our generation by a mile, strong argument to say possibly the greatest ever. I've only ever seen clips of the likes of Di Stefano and Puskas, Pele and Best so it's hard to compare. Used always Maradona was the best I'd seen but the sheer consistency of Messi's brillance shades it for me. It's every game, over 50 goals already this season, twenty of so assists. You begin to run out of superlatives to describe the little man. No matter what people's allegiance is - sometimes you just have to take your hat off. Lionel Messi, I salute you.
Mourinho sheephishly disapears down tunnel at end - no handshake with Guardiola. Beaten by better team and superior man/manager.
Obviously got lessons from Arsene re the handshakes, eh?
I'm afraid modern football clubs are now run as big business and times have changed. Whether fans like it or not it is far more important to finish in top four and get one of the prized "Champions League" spots than win the FA Cup or the Carling. Yes as an Arsenal fan I would like them to win the League, odd cup and Champions league every now and again but it is only in Arsenes time at Arsenal that they can now be considered one of the biggest/wealthiest clubs in Europe. Also been up against possibly the most successful and best managers in the history of English football how also manages one of if not the biggest clubs in the world in Fergie and Man Utd. Hopefully the wait will be worth it and Wenger will prove his many counters wrong and stick two fingers up at em.
Well, I tellya what, let's make the wait more interesting. I bet you £200 that Wenger will not win the Premiership again or ever win the Champions League whilst Arsenal manager......you can pm me. Money where mouth is time.
Doesn't surprise me with Mourinho, not the first time when things havent gone his way. Both teams were as bad as each other at times, some poor decisions from the ref at times but thankfully the sheer class of Messi made the difference. Id be interested to know what the Real fans really think of Mr Mourinho because I just can't imagine they are happy with his style of play at times. Would love to see Messi play, pure genius!!

Agreed. Kaka is up there as well but don't know why he's out of favour at madrid. Also, Ronaldinho in his prime was untouchable but his form dipped, think it all got to his head.
It's a pity the Madrid players did'nt put a bit more effort into trying to win the game as opposed to getting Barca players sent off for the return leg.

Potentially Kaka is quality Ryan, absolutely. Don't think he's as brave as Messi or has his steel. Hasn't played well for nigh on two years now. Pity.
Real were robbed no doubt about it they did a job on barca until the sending off granted not pretty to watch but made barca look average never a sending off regardless of wether you like mourinho barca let themselves down cheating cunts

Yeap, deadly serious. Before you accept you might want to have a read of this....don't often agree with these journos but there's a lot in this
pm me, and may the best pundit win - hope Wenger doesn't plan on staying as long as Fergie! And if Arsenal win it when he moves upstairs, that don't count! Bit of fun with a little bit of spice thrown in! Cheers!
