The best thing I find when in a foreign city is too just get out early and wander, that way you tend to find weird and wonderful things, I cant remember where anything was but had a right laugh, would love to go back as found an amazing record shop stacked full with obscure shit...
I just think you tend to bump into places and things find you when just going out at leisure, All I know is the record shop was in the mad cobbled area, spent hours in there, how much has it cost you if dont mind me prying????
I remember going to the Cathedral at about 9am Sunday morning and there were hundreds of Catalan OAPs dancing in perfect unison to some weird folk music. I had to video it just to prove to myself it wasn't the effects from the night before.

defo. we found a ouple of brillinant bars, including one tiny one and one that was quite big and seemed to be run by a cuban bloke, ace music in there. both were near the olympic port but not that far down. a great place barcelona
Went for Sonar in 2010, great city, would love to go back and spend a bit more time in the city itself. Here's a handy little website that you'll get some decent info off http://www.la-boca.com/
Visited a Dali museum but it was a couple of hours on the train from Barcalona, ok for a day out if u have the time.found a great wee club in the city centre but by accident, even if i went back with the sole purpuse to find it again i doubt i could, being a greart help here eh
Love barca. Never bore of it. I like the el born area for the shops and bars. Theres a great bar called dry martini bout ten mins north of placa de catalunya. Very old school famous cocktail bar, traditional bar tenders with an amazing speakeasy restaurant out the back which you are led to via the kitchens goodfellas style.
For something different though the one thing I would recommend to anyone is a day out to monserrat. It's a monastery right up in the mountains. Doesn't cost a lot, bit of a train ride but when you get there it's either a cable car or funicular to the top. Views from the mountain tops are unbelievable , can see for miles and you can walk even higher around the mountains. Little lady will enjoy it as well, it's popular but not too crowded especially when you do the walks. It's well chilled and a nice contrast to the hustle an bustle of the city.
Had a great couple of nights in the London Bar which is a few hundred yards off Las Ramblas.
Had a good night in the live sex show at bottom right of Ramblas as well.
our hotel was a few doors away from there them black lasses were annoying after abit on and around the ramblas, especially when your on your lonsome, got lost coming out of a bar next door to the hotel, took about an hour to find it, whilst getting hassled of rusty lee lookalikeys.
