That is true Marcus, i can understand why people have the hatred for her that they do, but actually celebrating someones death is evil in my opinion, as she has family as did the people who she pretty much killed, it's just abit evil imo.
My dad feels the same as yous' says he's celebrating when she dies etc but think it's ill minded to do so personally.

I was brought up connected with the Black Country steel works which when they shut decimated the area. All and sundry were blamed. But they turn a blind 'un to the fact that richest people at the time were the manufacturers of brown envelopes. A lot of palms were greased from the bottom to the top. And a lot of people got rich from reaching under tables. Bass brewery in Cape Hill was another.
And if there hadn't been all the reforms of the Eighties how do people think Britain would have coped with the rise of the Far East 'rice pay grade' emerging economies and lets not mention China!
Don't get me wrong there was a lot she did wrong and I'm no apologist for her. But a lot of people just like riding the Anti-Thatcher bandwagon because it's the done thing.

Couldn't agree more. I was going to go on a similar rant but can't be done with politics and forums. I just leave it to the clothes.
Say what you like about her, but she had something Blair and Brown didn't have................a pair of bollocks. Frightened of no man or country, made you proud to be British.
The only positive thing she did was grab Argentina by the throat. As large chunks of this country once filled with industry ,producing goods for our home and export market are now pretty much derilict wastelands with smack heads running round it I cant say i'll be strapping on my black armband. It's a funny little tag line... Maggie Thatcher...school milk snatcher , but all joking aside , what kind of cold hearted fucker do you have to be to stop 3-9 year olds getting free milk?. Sad.
Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure.
I'm sorry but I find it hard to understand how anyone who considers themselves to be working class could defend her? I was brought up in a mining family and saw the arse end of the decimation of more than an industry, but a community. I won't mourn for her the same as I won't mourn for those that commit genocide. Some take the flesh and blood of men, she took their spirit.
Thatcher was a typical tory nest featherer. And hated the unions and the nationalised society we lived in that were neither economical nor viable. How ever rather than smash them, as she did, and lets also not forget the P&O strike of the late 80's as well, why not look at making them cost effective as many management buyouts did to carry on mining.
She mapped out the economic country we live in today and I for one don't like it. Workers worked to death, little or no compassion from management and poor management. Plus a genration of Tory ideologists in power now who know fuck all about everything and are on a wrecking ball mission to plunge us into further economic plight.
Fuck the NHS off and reduce our NI contributions and make everyone pay for private medical - works in Germany. Make large companies adhere to VAT obligations and negate tax haven status plus make local councils more accountable for budgets and what they spend money on.
Oh - Thatcher is a cunt and I for one cant wait for the wanker to cark it...
