Any fans on here? Have been watching it on/off for a while but recently have gone mad over it and bought all the seasons. I'm having trouble laughing at anything else to be honest, Larry David is an absolute comedy genius. The way he covers those difficult situations we all encounter is pure brilliance. Social conventions, norms and values etc etc.
A funny thing I've noted is how most females I know aren't really into the programme since they all think Larry David is a prick, while nearly every male I know who's seen it think he's an absolute genius and loves the show.
Anyway season 8 is on its way, most probably will be the last but it's set in New York and I am really looking forward to it.

i've seen it in bits and pieces, episodes here and there - not sure why i've not watched it from start to finish because i do find it funny. never laughed so much as when his wife on hearing larry complimented a man on the size of his kids penis asks him why he would do that and he just says "i took a risk"....maybe you have to see it.
It's in a similar, albeit differently styled, vein to Carl Pilkington's stuff. It's all about that which enters a mans head but never speaks of. I love Curb, easily one of the best series' ever. I love the funkhouser tells a joke which can be found on youtube...

Yeah I like Pilkington as well, but, and it may sound daft, with english as a second language small bits of it is hard to understand, haha. Ricky Gervais is going to be in the upcoming season apparently.
But yeah apart from just being a funny show with fun characters such as Funkhouser, all the small conversations, gestures, facial expressions etc, it's just pure comedy gold. The best thing about it is how a lot of it is improvised, makes it even better.

Yeah, I love the "Ben Laden" scene. Richard Lewis covers his mouth to stop himself from laughing, you can tell it's not scripted that part.
Best comedy programme going. Quite happily watching them all over again on sky at the moment. Just got to krazee-eyez killa which has got to be one of my favourite ever episodes.

Spot on that episode. The scene in the car where he hums that annoying tune, then begins on the fruit rant is just amazing, perfect example of his personality haha.

I remember getting series 1 about 10 years ago when it first came out on region 1. Absolutely brilliant. It's only recently I have heard lots of people talking about it. Series 8 should be good, I think Ricky Gervais plays a character in it.
My favourite TV series by a country mile. Can't remember how many times I've watched each season, best thing is most people you ask haven't even heard of it, when you find someone that does watch it you can have a right laugh. Millions of top notch quotes!
I've done it backwards. Mad about Curb Your Enthusiasm, but never really watched Seinfeld.
seinfeld is brilliant. 1st two series start slow but still some good bits), third is really good and from fourth, excellent. best sitcom ive ever seen, by some way. love curb like but seinfeld is brilliant. as is the seinfeld reunion on the last series of curb. but karl pilkington, whoever said that - fucking garbage!
Surprised Leon haven't been mentioned yet. He's pure comedy gold, the improv scenes between him and Larry are magical. I like the way they go back an forth and slightly change each others words, the snickers scene is obviously the classic but this one is my favourite, genius:

Haven't seen the first episode of season 8 yet, anyone seen it yet?
Something tells me it's pretty, pretty good.

I find most american sit coms diabolical but curb is absolute genius, dont think a single day goes by where I dont think to myself 'what would larry david do in this situation'
