When Matteo took over at West Brom the team was already in place. He got us off to a flying start in the Premiership and i think even he was suprised at the position we found ourselves in. Problems started when we had a few injurys and in his naivity as a manager he were'nt able to 'juggle' players to best use their limited ability. Rumours started circulating that although Matteo was the manager he never took an interest in training, that was left to his assistant, Eddie Newton.
Basically what i'm trying to say is if you already have a good team in ready made for him to take over, he's your man..............
GTBI, that's what I thought. We've got a small squad and limited funds, think he's be a poor appointment. He has got a MOTD face though
and Gave, I know you dont mean that. You love the Rams-Blades clash. Plus the teams that got promoted this year are actually quite good so Derby could be joining us in L1 in 12 months time
I think he set us back in the end which is why we sacked him, but he may well do you a good job because he will go in all out attack which sets you up for a great season if he does go to you, especially in that league, he's quite young so I would imagine he will mature as a manager and not be so rash in the future with atacking all or nothing football
