Not too much to worry about....they really do look after themselves.....if you havent done it already then put him in the litter tray....pick him up and put him in it so he knows where to go...i only had to do it once....if theres particular things in your house youd like to keep the little scrote away from them rub it with lemon and kitty will tend to avoid it.....dont be surprised if it hides for a while in the first few days....itll be fine....cats are cool.
Cats are great mate, got one myself. All they need is feeding, letting out and the occasional play/stroke. Mine hasn't used the litter tray in about 3 years, she just goes outside and does it in someone elses garden, then buries it. Little tyke.
superb mate. I'm a convert to cats. My Mrs loved them and initially I'd a real allergy to them but that's kinda gone over time. Ours is smart as fuck - the thing raps the back door when It wants in (I kid you not). It can tell the difference between Tesco chicken roll and Sainsburys (fucking work that one out! PS -loves Tesco, hates Sainsburys), and carries serious attitude but as Paul says, they look after themselves by and large.
Ours was small and black when we got him so naturally we called him Makalele

brilliant animals man, make sure your clothes are in a place he cant get to because he will sleep on them!!! also get yourself a laser pen, it will keep both of you occupied for ages
Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

i got up at the crack of dawn to go for a ride, the little twat replaced me in my side of the bed and pissed. How do you train him to piss/shit in the litter tray?
He has a mad half hour then goes to sleep for two. Life of Riley.

As Paul has said Thom... You gotta pick the little fella up and put him in his litter tray, he'll have a sniff around so he know's where it's all at and after that there shouldn't be any if many problems...
Once they get let out the house, they'll never use the tray, but end up going in neighbours gardens instead
Nice one pal! I reckoned that SJH and myself are the big cat fans around these parts.I'll wait for him and Shadow to chime in a bit,but clumping litter is your friend !
I just lost my dear cat Moppet (the first part of my forum name) after 21 years(We'd had her since 1994) last month. My wife and I dont have any kids so you can all imagine the loss. Her younger 'brother' Floyd is only just getting back rightways after the loss too. Cats are very ,very smart creatures.Underestimate them at your peril. You are in for some great times in the next few years, Congratulations on your furry acquisition!
Never owned a cat but I like them a lot myself, really independent animals though at heart I am a dog man
As in - will burden themselves on anyone who feeds them.
There's a cat that keeps sitting outside my back door looking in. If I open the door it will come in walk around upstairs and down. Then settle down! I hoofed it out and asked the neighbours about it. Apparently it's the cat from the pub behind our gardens but it's fed and sleeps at various houses in the road and has been named differently by all of 'em too.

Gave up on cats years ago , dogs do as there told cats do as they please , last one i had was a bitch and i told both next doors not to feed it but 1 did and they ended up owning it until it started giving birth then they wanted to disown it ,they where told it was there problem in no uncertain way, the bugger used to sit in there front window staring at the kids, not as loyal as a dog in any way
