Go to Port Street beer house. Great selection, nice atmosphere, great staff. Fringe bars nice if the weathers good. Don't go to Oyster bar even though it's next to the MEN.
Bags of flavour and Bionic 7 are worth a mooch if your shopping.
Room restraunt carnt remember the street, its near tk maxx, my dads executive chef there its loverly. For shops oi polloi, ran, life, bionic 7 and bags of flavor.
Around the Northern Quarter is my favourite part although more and more 'printworks/towny types' are spreading there.
The Marble Arch brewery have a new outlet there and the Manchester Bitter is worth trying.....there's loads of small bars around that still seem alright during the day, except for Bluu.
I quite like the Oyster Bar and Wellington - especially on a sunny day.
Northern quarter ok for a mooch, but nothing special, with Thomas st P office closing down you might grab a bargain, Imo Bionic 7 & Bags of flavour way overpriced, would much rather look in the charity shops, Oi nothing special, Flannels clearance is worth a look on Oldham st, aside from that Ran shop and go onto Canal for a beer.
Last time I went I ended up drowning my sorrows in some place called long legs till 2 in the morning. Birds were fucking beautiful but christ knows how much I spent. Most expensive wank I've ever had I know that much.
Bulldog Ballroom in the N1/4 is usually open till the early hours.
Thanks.
I did text him that there is something like Dog Basement so hope he'll find it. I've not been there since it had a different name over 5 yrs ago and we got asked to leave for 'taking liberties'.

I can't stand it in there, it's like a gay pool hall. Always seems to be the way though, only bar in the N1/4 that's open till 5ish.
just got another ticket for the 28th june on a tuesday, are they a reasonable night in manchester or not for going out afterwards?
Depends what you're after...? I'd suggest a pint in The Castle. Good selection of cask ales. Top of Oldham St.

reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.
must have enjoyed it james,i had cracking time in copenhagen and the gig, i thought it was mind blowing
superb mate, copenhagen must have been quite a trip! i had a small inclination of the effect it would have on me, but its been two days now and i still cant quite explain it. special atmosphere, a packed arena with a huge variety of people, nationality, ages, 'class' all on the same wavelength. its a powerful political show, music that actually means something, just incredible really.
