Selling my old laptop soon and I'm preparing it just now. Obviously have cleaned it up but was wondering if anyone could help me with preparation such as formatting the hard drive and a 'fresh install' of the OS. I have done a google search but to be honest it's all a bit foreign to me. Could do with a hand.
The laptop was going anyway, I just have the selling bug now. It's already set back to how it would be coming out the box but there's obviously some way of still accessing all the old data.
Maybe I should just change all my passwords on all accounts and not worry about it.

It is tempting but if I factor in the postage costs I will actually be paying these twats to take it. I think I'll just punt it on ebay and say in the listing please dont steal my identity.

reached for the secret too soon, cried for the moon.

i dont even have my battery in my laptop...i just use the mains plug and on the rare occassion i need to move the lappie i just put the battery in...or use mrs clydes netbook....having a battery in when its connected to the mains absolutely ruins a battery....take it out if your using the mains.
