I don't use the word often but he really was a legend. Such an interesting fella.
Love Johnny Cash. Me dad has loads of cd's from him, all with a few songs that are amazing. A TRUE legend.
Big fan of Mr. Cash.Don't make music like his no more.
i ADORE him. A true genius ... did some amazing music! Anyone watched the "Walk the line" movie with Joaquin Phoenix? Got it ond DVD since it came out and never found the time to watch it...
great artist and still had it right to his final years. The American series (even Vol. VI 'Ain't No Grave') is sublime
The American Series was his best work in my opinion. No piece of music will ever be as emotional as some of those final songs.
Zitat von RhysThe American Series was his best work in my opinion. No piece of music will ever be as emotional as some of those final songs.
Disagree here. His original America, and those songs on Bitter Tears are full of faith, passion, anger, patriotism and dissent. This is absolutely spell-bounding -
Amazing man. The film Walk the Line is well worth a watch.
The prison LPs, San Quentin and especially Folsom Prison are two of the best live albums ever, in my opinion.
Cash is a god IMHO, one of my all time heroes
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience!
When i renovated the house i'm in now thats all i listened to,a genius.
To be honest, although I knew a fair few of his songs, I never listened to much Johnny Cash until the American seriesWas a bit of a horrible cunt though weren't he
