Queens Park Rangers supporters have reacted angrily after learning they will be charged up to £72 to watch their team in the Barclays Premier League next season.
Club owners Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone and Lakshmi Mittal are cashing in on the club's promotion back to the top flight by hiking the prices of both matchday and season tickets.
The cheapest tickets will be £47 while season tickets are up by almost 40% from last term, although with four home games less in the Premier League compared to the npower Championship, the increase is even more in real terms.
The price rises were widely predicted but have still been met with dismay by many Rangers fans.
"It's an absolute disgrace and, yet again, underlines the total contempt the owners of QPR have for the fans," said Paul Finney of the Independent R's website. "Flavio Briatore's dream is a 'boutique' club, which has an exclusive feel to it and is the place for wealthy people to be seen.
"Not only is that a slap in the face of QPR supporters, it is not in the long-term interests of a club that has two other Premier League clubs (Chelsea and Fulham) on its doorstep."
What a fucking disgrace. The cheapest tickets will be £47 !
When Spurs played at the san Siro in the Champions league - tickets were 16e - the return leg at White Hart Lane - £66 - fucking bollocks...Check average gates across europe where fans are treated with respect and you do the fucking math. I'm no economist but even I can work it out. CUNTS.

excellent summing up *heads of to boils my piss thread muttering
Im happy to admit my days of going to 40+ games a season are numbered, It's just too expensive. And Out 40 games there will be 5 that have a good atmosphere. I'll never stop going but it certainly won't be on the current scale.
The next 10 years will finish off any remaining working class supporters that attend top 6 premier league grounds imo.
Everyone should just cancel their Sky tv, and get used to going in pubs for a chat and a game of pool on a Sunday afternoon. I dont go to matches now, too much money to watch even Championship football now, my first match at Elland Rd was 75p admission in 1977, and the atmosphere was ten times better then, than it will ever be again.
Zitat von Mersons BookieNeed to pay for Warnocks new tractor somehow
talking this morning on Talksport that he may be away before the season even starts. They want Ancellotti....
"The nightmares invading the sleep of Bayern fans involve four horsemen of the Champions League Apocalypse riding towards them. As the faces come into focus, they will recognise Frank Lampard, Cole, Petr Cech and Drogba. All were immense..."

I moaned about paying 36 quid for a game down my club , are they signing ronaldo and messi? ,let the prawn sandwich brigade go and fill the stadium , if the qpr faithful stand for this imagine what will happen next year , i would stay at home myself , if they sign loads of quality players and go for survival and explain this in figures to the fans they might get away with it but it looks like greed on the face of it
Fans should just refuse to pay them prices (will never happen like), how can the average working class afford them prices it's a joke just shows what the game has come to.
Just another reason that pushes me further away from Football and into other things, as a working class man modern football holds nothing for me anymore
