The Proper forum has been going ten years and has been home to all sorts of people. From non-clothing people, to music buffs, to out and out hooligans. It's a broad church but a democratic one. I got told off and threatened with a ban on here for engaging in sarcasm. Fair do's, your board. But on Proper that's not really the vibe and as a result it's not for everyone. We operate on a referral only basis and even then, some people aren't into it.

When was that. I'm worried now? If that's case I'll go and start packing my suitcase! And I'll await my invite on to the 'broad church' that is apparently the Proper forum. Seems like I'll fit right in non?

It's just the internet. It's just a messageboard. The people on there seem to like it enough and that's good enough for me. I think maybe you being new to using forums is clouding your judgement.
why would it for one cloud my judgement ???.... the internet may just be the internet but it can also be a very powerful tool in your life if used in the correct ways and along side the correct people which i why i like this forum as there is a good set of lads on here HELPFUL, you could actually call me narrow minded for what i think to other forums but like i say how would i know ??? wouldnt mind seeing the other forum out of intrest to get the vision out of my head off it being like a picnic bench with maramalde sarnies with five people sat round it having fairy cakes and sharing a pot of tea ...... but like i say guess what i cant... When the forum will let me view it then give me a heads up fella it might change my view who knows ??

It was a while back when someone posted a thread...in all seriousness....asking whether people liked their collar up or down.
I posted a jokey response in a very similar vein to your response above but got slated. So I asked if sarcasm or irony were banned on here and 'jonah' said "If it pisses me off then YES".

here and CE but it's a bit boring and had an unpleasant experience once with a buy/sell section and 80's which was quite interesting but was banned, probably cause of posts number
You're on Osti as well aren't you ? Considering that we're just talking about the internet I find some peoples attitudes to other clothing forums a little perplexing, or are they just being ironic and I'm not smart enough to get the joke ? I gladly paid my subs on Osti and have already made my money back many times over selling clothes in the marketplace there, the closed forum policy isn't sinister at all it simply keeps the riff raff out !!
On here and Osti, both offer different things. Main difference is the pace Off-Hand is slower paced, relaxed and more clothes orientated. Osti is faster paced and more diverse. I like the mix of the two.

Carl, I've just took a snap of a couple of Osti members (I wonder if one is Lee67?) waiting to go in to the forum. Whilst some other clothing forum members who are not also OA members AKA Riff Raff look on. I wonder what brand their hats are?
