The funny thing is you often hear managers slating players who want to move to another club and ask where their loyalty is and yet here is Alex McLeish who just relegated Brum but they stayed loyal to him and kept him on as manager and then as soon as he gets a sniff at a 'bigger' job he walks away to Brum's biggest rivals.
Zitat von STEVECFChe's there till Guadiola is available ..
as for Abramovich interfering , if I spent a £billion on a club , i'd want my voice heard ...
Well fine if he wants to interfere, but if that is the case then appoint a yes-man and even pick the team for him. Don't employ the most exciting young manager in the world and totally fuck him over with his own clueless football ideas.
why do you think Mourinho , Wilkins departed ? 'cause they weren't 'yes' men , and stood up to him . £50 million on Torres , tells me everything I need to know . This Porto manager may well be fresh , young , exciting - but facts are facts , Abramovich wants a team that plays with some style , and wants the Champions League Title , simple as that , no sentiment , not interested in a Fergie appointment - a manager who could be there for years building success .. but remember where CHELSEA were 10-15 - 20 years ago , I remember as I stood on half empty terraces watching Luton Town hump us !! not any more old son , we're Champions or Runners up these days , almost rans in the CL , attracting some of the Worlds best players , with a full house nearly every game ..

Oh yeah I remember where Cheslsea used to be, went there with United in the 80s. You've kind of proved my point here. Why employ a young manager who has new ideas etc and then tell him who to buy and who to play? Oh and then sack him when he fails to win the European cup. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be outraged at his meddling and persistent fucking over of talented managers, and yet you seem to approve of what the mad twat is doing? Still, he'll buy some more plastic flags eh?
I dont aprove at all .. never said that .. At Stamford Bridge you don't see the old faces that graced many away end in my time .. It's corperate , at £60 a ticket no longer working mans club .. Each manager joins knowing full well what will happen , Chelsea now replicate Barca / Madrid ..

No, you never said you approved but you didn't state your opposition to it neither. To be fair this Villas-Boas has worked for Abramovich before so he knows what he's walking into and I get the impression he knows it'll be a short-term job but one that he'll get very well paid for. Easy money.
The corporate thing isn't just a Chelsea phenomenon, it has happened at many clubs and top tiered football in England ceased to be a working mans game a good while ago. Nothing new there.
Season tickets for next season going on general sale kind of sums up a lot of peoples feelings at the bridge. When blokes who have been going for 40 years pack it in, you know somethings wrong. The club are hell bent on success regardless of the fact they are losing proper supporters.

Oppose what exactly ? Face facts , without Abramovich Chelsea wouldn't be anywhere . I don't agree the way the club has gone , I don't agree the way managers have been treated . But they're not exactly on the breadline like many of us who work for a living . Had Mourihno stayed , I'm 100% certain Chelsea would have won the CL . Not a statement that could have been made many a year ago . All clubs are being gobbled up by Russians / Americans / Arabs .
Utd / Liverpool / City ... no difference , and they all want success , don't think City will show much patience if trophies dont start rolling in .
My days as a fan are over , I wont go anymore , was a member and travelled length and breadth , but I wont pay these daft prices .. I look back and tell fondly my son stories of yesteryear ..

Nowt to do with the ridiculous wages they will earn......................earn, don't believe i said that.
of course it is - ALL footballers are mercenaries , with the very few exceptions , if clubs listened or were interested what fans thought , Mcleish wouldn't be at Villa ..

I mentioned that Abramovich should let this new manager work on his own and you said something about spending a billion and so he has a right to meddle. Fair enough, you've bored me senseless.
Dont matter what manager comes to my club i`ll have no say in it nor will any other fan so could i giv a fuk no.... just get what ya get and thats it ! Just hope they do the best for the club thats all you can pray for
Appears he won't give up till he wins the Champions League. Should have stuck with Jose - he would have got there eventually with help of Abramovichs dirty billions.
Well, I tell them there's no problem Only solutions
