Just got some dylon dye and it doesn't say anything about adding salt (which I'm sure you have to do with other dylons) should i follow the instructions or add salt?
you dont have to add salt mate....but it does help...it opens up the fibres of cotten, and allows the dye to penertrate the garment.....does the same job in reverse when removing a stain ie opens the fibres which makes stains easier to come out of the garment
Zitat von ryanI think I'll just go ahead with no salt. The packaging has 'now even easier' and stuff like that on it so I think they might have changed the process.
what you dying.... ? before and after pics might be of some amusment on this
These, would be nice if the different patches of camo each went a slightly different colour so the camo effect was still there but more subtle. Doubt that will happen though.
Black mate. Will post some pictures up after they are out and dry. They are halfway through the first wash and still have another wash to go after that.

Q. Why do I need to use salt?
A. You need to use salt with all DYLON dyes except Wash & Dye (it's already in Wash & Dye) because it opens up the pores of the fabric and allows the dye to be absorbed.
