I love horror films but never find them scary, that is until my 15 year old self discovered the wonders of Asian cinema. Some of those films are absolutely terrifying and avoid the use of 'gore' that most western horrors rely on.

John Carpenter is another hero.

"The Thing" is another all time favourite of mine.

A lot of Stephen King's films made great horror's
