Has anyone got worse opening times than this for their local sorting office,8am-4pm,Mon-Fri and 8am-12pm Sat Fuckin joke,i leave the house at 7 and not back til after 5.
Tell me about it. Had 2 deliveries today and they have both told me to wait 48 hours - Bollocks, im going in there tomorrow morning and having it out with them.
The 7 o'clock bits ok though mate,mine used to open at 7 and i'd go before work which was sound as she knew fuck all about it but now looks like i may have to ask her to get it for me
They usually do say 48 hours but more often than not its back next day, If possible use the collect service, for £1.50 they deliver to local Post Office and can do it same day depending on Posty
That explains your low shipping costs. Sent a light weight jacket(handed it in at 9 p m) last week to a bloke from here, by swedish airmail. The cunts took 16£ for it, unsigned for! And that only for the stamps!

If it says 48hrs and you show up next day at the end of the shift it should be there.
I've never really had much of a problem with Royal Mail, get more issues with the courier services. Fed-ex particularly bad with the what they handle parcels round Sheffield. Picked a few up from the warehouse that look like they've been lying at the side of the M1 for a week
Just a few things lads recorded for a start is not next day delivery special is and while the opening times might not suit everyone you can have it delivered to your post office or have it re delivered. To be fair lads most posties want to get rid of parcels they are heavy to carry around usually bulky and makes no sense not too. I thought those opening times pretty reasonable i mean its six days a week from morning to evening and half of saturday,

do you mean where you go to pick parcels up? the one i worked in up here(sunderland) mon-tues-thurs-fri 7.30am-6pm. weds 7.30-8pm sat. 7.30-2pm whats wrong with 8-4. 8hr day, same as most people work.

its impossible to please people mate, i stick recordeds etc through doors to help people out more than wanting rid of the parcel/letter, saves them fuckin on going to the collection office, but then you get the cunts saying it hasnt arrived, its not been signed for etc.
gav, until youve been attacked by a dog like i have on delivery and how thick some dog owners can be, i dont find this postie likeing dogs thing funny at all.
My postie is bang on, always holds the parcels for me etc, always buy him a massive bottle of jd at xmas goes a long way I feel sorry for em at times, not the best wages and always getting moaned at!

well do yer job properly then !!! dogs and the likes of me are part and parcel off it !!! if it needs signing for no excuses get it fukin signed for its not that its to save people you can`t be fukin arsed to carry it or bring it back !!! and i hope you get bit by a fukin great big huge Bichon Frise in SI ..... i got attacked by a dog once but i left a fiver on the side the following morning with a note saying thats all she was worth remember when a postie got good money thats cos the cunt did two rounds not one at 2 in the afternoon lazy bastards....... love yer job ??? should do but you want yer money for fuk all ... your a ROYAL service ... imo royal means loyal...(to your customers) which royal fukin mail are not !!! there shit with a shit service and go along side the likes of wankpal... no need to explain futher ....

My local sorting office is open from 7am -5.30pm Mon-Fri, (8pm on a Wednesday) and 7am-2pm Sat. When did Posties ever get good money? Not in my lifetime! Any changes to the service over the years have been implemented by Management, the posties themselves have zero input. People moan if they have to go and collect something, and they moan if they receive it without signing for it. Personally I would much prefer they delivered it\left it than having to go and collect it. Its the old story, if you think it's such an easy gig with great money get yourself in there and apply!
