Depends what your into, if your doris likes walking up hills and dodging cow shit then like Gelse said but my recommendation is Brighton, nailed on your both have an excellent weekend.
Snowdonia is beautiful, well worth visiting. Also Cumbria is a favourite of mine, especially Arnside in morecambe bay
The category of the prosumer commodity does not signify a democratization of the media towards participatory systems, but the total commodification of human creativity
I live just down the road from Newcastle, Sunderland to be precise. I really like the City but it'll be pointless spending two nights there being so close to home.
Robin Hood Bay - north Yorkshire. Beautiful little village full of history, loads of walking, pubs and eating places and Whitby is down the rd if you want somewhere to go a bit bigger. I recommend the deep fried battered black pudding. Braaaaap!
fuck all that scenery bollocks, plenty of time for that when you re retired. Whitey s right, Brighton is a good weekend destination, stay at the Granville hotel, four poster beds, whirlpool bath, great for the missus(and you) Leeds is pretty good as well, decent bars, clubs and Restaurants, and good shopping. Dublin as well, stay at the Shelbourne
Zitat von truebrit87Is there much to do in Leeds during the day other than shop?
probably not, other than drink and eat, but I mnotone for sight seeing. If you d rather do that, then London every time, as it is a very underated city imo, with plenty to do and see

GEt yourself to cameron house hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond if you are after scenery. Also you could go up to Inverness and stay there and you have loch lomond, the cairngorms national park and culloden on your doorstep.
I'm not really sure of all this pressure, I'm never gonna lose any of my old letters, 'Cause they'll stay with me, Until I can see that I'm no one
Edinburgh or Manchester would be my choices mate. Both are cities that you can get a bit of a handle on over a couple of days and they each have their own unique charms. Would say London but I'm guessing you'll have been before plus it can be well expensive when compared with the others.
