It's a fair bet that he wasn’t as bothered by the £1.75 fee for withdrawing his cash as us mere mortals might have been. This chap had $100million (£62million) in his account – and we know because he left the receipt at the machine. The unidentified Wall St banker took out $400 (£250) but forgot the slip, which showed his balance was $99,864,731.94. The piece of paper was picked up by a member of the public who passed it on to a financial blogger who posted it on the internet.
It shows the banks for what they are. They have that much $$ sitting in a (no doubt) next to nothing interest paying account. And they still have the brassneck to charge $2.75 ATM fee! I suppose it does also call into question the wisdom or reasoning of the person who would leave that much in such an account.
with that much in the bank i wouldnt arsed with the interest etc that you could get, or paying 2$ for using the atm. the more you have, the more you leave behind.
